The Montreal-based em- ployee, "JL," had seven years of experience with the airline and wanted to perform at the 2017 London Fringe Theatre Festival in Ontario. He applied and was accepted in the spring of 2017. JL was set to perform in six shows between June 1 and 10. He testified that a common fraud technique in- volved wait staff accepting cash from a customer but voiding the check so the POS system would not count the money. The server would then pocket the cash, he said. Peterson found Sheehy's voids from the begin- ning of May until the day he was terminated were $956.22.
