Wage adjustments: Effective Feb. 1, 2019: 2.5% Effective Feb. 1, 2020: 2.75% Effective Feb. 1, 2021: 3% Effective Feb. 1, 2022: 3.5% Shift premium: Plant operator who holds valid first-, second- or third-class ticket will receive bonus of: $1,000 per month for first-class; $800 per month for second-class; $300 per month for third-class. $1,500 after 1 year of completion for second-class; additional $1,000 after 2 years at site. 10% of em- ployee's hourly rate for employee designated to relieve supervisory position (will not be included with in computing overtime or other premium pay). $0.94 per hour (pre- viously $0.91 per hour) for hours worked between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.; $1.91 per hour (previously $1.86 per hour) for hours worked be- tween 4 p.m. and midnight; $3.31 per hour (previously $3.22 per hour) for hours worked between midnight and 7 a.m. for rotating- shift employees. $1.28 per hour (previously $1.25 per hour) for hours worked between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.; $2.86 per hour (previously $2.78 per hour) for hours worked between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. for 12- hour rotating-shift employees. Paid holidays: 11 days, plus twelfth floating stat. Vacations with pay: 10 hours per month, maximum 120 hours, to start, 120 hours or 6% after 1 year, 160 hours or 8% after 10 years, 200 hours or 10% after 18 years, 240 hours or 12% after 25 years. 1 week of vacation may be deferred into next vacation year. Overtime: Double time for all work after 8, 9, 10, 12 hours per day or 40 hours per week. May be banked, maximums 84 hours per year (at end of year any remaining bank time will be paid out). Meal allowance: $18 in lieu of meal or employer will supply em- ployee with suitable meal which may be eaten on company time when employee works more than 2 hours beyond regular stopping time or 2 hours or more on call-in. Additional meals or payments in lieu will be provided every 4 hours thereafter as long as work is contin- ued. Medical benefits: Employer will reimburse each employee, maxi- mum $350 per year, from wellness spending account (no portion of funds may be carried over beyond end of calendar year). Sick leave: Employee's unused sick time will be banked, maxi- mum 96 hours. Any banked sick time will be added to current year's entitlement of 96 hours up to combined maximum of 192 hours paid sick leave. Bereavement leave: Employee will receive time off to attend fu- neral of spouse (by marriage or common-law), son, daughter, par- ent, sister, brother, equivalent in- law, grandparent (by birth or mar- riage). 4 additional days, if required, for travel or making necessary arrangements. 1 day to attend fu- neral of more distant relative, close friend. Seniority – recall rights: 12 months for layoffs; 6 consecutive months if employee is assigned to job classification not covered by agreement. Call-in pay: Greater of 4 hours of pay at regular rates or pay for hours worked at applicable overtime rate. Employee who receives call-in pri- or to 4 a.m. will receive 2 times em- ployee's regular hourly rate for any portion of call-in that extends into employee's regularly scheduled working hours. Probationary period: First 90 days of employment. Severance: Greater of amount of severance pay required by ap- plicable Employment Standards legislation or amount equivalent to 2 weeks' pay plus 2 weeks' pay for each year of service. Payment resulting from this formula will be multiplied by 1.30 (minimum sev- erance payment of 4 weeks' pay for employees with 1 year of service; for employees with more than 1 year of service, 2 weeks' pay plus 2 weeks' pay per year of service there- after). Safety shoes: Employer will pro- vide safety boots to employees as per Tidewater protective footwear standards.
