3 Canadian HR Reporter, a HAB Press business 2020 COLLECTIVE AGREEMENTS worked as working foreman. Paid holidays: 12 days, plus 1 Christmas floater day. Vacations with pay: 1.25 days (3 weeks, 15 days, 120 hours) per month to start, 1.67 days (4 weeks, 20 days, 160 hours) per month after 8 years, 2.08 days (5 weeks, 25 days, 200 hours) per month after 15 years, 2.5 days (6 weeks, 30 days, 240 hours) per month after 24 years. Employee may use accumulated overtime hours to bring number of hours paid on day when employee has taken vacation leave, maximum 10 hours per day or 191 hours per month. Employees may carry over, maximum 5 days' vacation leave, in addition to annual accrued vacation leave (must be taken by Aug. 31 of following year). Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 10 hours per day or 191 hours per week. Time may be accumulated, maximum 200 hours (maxi- mum 40 hours for part-time, temporary employees). In any pay period, when employee has accumulated maximum number of accumulated hours, and number of workdays in next month will be more than 20 days, employee will schedule minimum of 1 day off (to be taken from accumulated over- time hours). Sick leave: 18 days per year (earned at 1.5 days for every month employee works). Un- used portion will accumulate, maximum 119 days. LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums. AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Pension: Employer pays 100% of premiums for voluntary RRSP. Local Authorities Pen- sion Plan. Bereavement leave: Mini- mum 1 day, maximum 5 days for death in immediate family (employee's spouse; following relatives of employee or spouse: parent, guardian, child, brother, sister, grandchild). Minimum 1 day, maximum 2 days for death in extended family (following relatives of employee or spouse: child-in-law, grandparent, un- cle, aunt, cousin, niece, nephew; employee's brother-in-law, sister-in-law). Seniority – recall rights: 9 months for layoffs. Probationary period: 6 months (employer reserves right to extend period by fur- ther 90 days worked). Safety shoes: Maximum $300 per year for safety equipment or upgraded safety equipment not supplied by employer which must include CSA-approved safety footwear (after 4 months of service). Employee may carry over into next year any unused amount, maximum $300 carry- over in any 1 year. Mileage: Employer will pay au- tomobile allowance rate, at em- ployer's prevailing rate per kilo- metre, to employee using own vehicle on employer business when requested by employer.
