Safety shoes: $65 per year for full-time employees and $50 per year for part-time employ- ees who are required to wear safety footwear at work. Reporting pay: At least 4 hours without prior notice not to report to work. Part-time availability: Part-time employees will be on-call and available to work 2 weekends over 4-week schedule and either Christmas or New Year's Day. Personal days: Employees allowed 2 unpaid personal days per month by mutual agreement. Influenza immunization: Onsite clinic provided for staff. Proof of immunization must be provided by end of November. During outbreak, un-immunized employees will be excluded from facility. Tuition reimbursement: Maxi- mum $3,000 within 12 months of resignation for tuition fees when employee resigns with 30 days after receiving layoff notice; $1,250 when employee resigns later than 30 days after receiving layoff notice. Early retirement: 2 weeks' salary for each year of service, plus prorated amount for partial year, maximum 26 weeks' salary. Employees will also receive $1,000 for each year less than 65, maximum $5,000 as lump sum. Personal days: 2 days unpaid per month, not to be construed as sick time or absent. Paid education leave: Employer pay $0.02 per hour per employee for all compensated hours for paid education leave to Unifor Paid Education Leave Program. Hearing aids: Maximum $400 per person every 24 months. Home closure: If employer is forced to close home employer will provide laid-off employees 2 weeks of pay per year, maximum 20 weeks. As well, employer will offer early-retirement provision afforded in collective agreement. Parking: Employer will provide free parking for employees. FOOD VENDING Servomation Vancouver (650 bartenders, kitchen, stock employees) and the British Columbia Government and Service Employees' Union (BCGEU) Renewal agreement: Effective Feb. 1, 2018 to Jan. 31, 2021. Signed on Feb. 13, 2020. Wage adjustments: Effective Feb. 1, 2018: 1.5% Effective Feb. 1, 2019: 3% Effective Feb. 1, 2020: 4% Paid holidays: 11 days. Em- ployees eligible for Good Fri- day holiday may opt to forgo that time off to recognize eth- no-cultural day of their ethnic or cultural background. Vacations with pay: Employ- ees will receive percentages of gross wages earned in lieu of vacations: 4% to start, 5% after 2 years, 6% after 4 years, 8% after 6 years, 10% after 8 years, 12% after 10 years, 14% after 15 years, 16% after 20 years. Overtime: Paid at time and one-half for first 2 hours of overtime (after 8 hours per day) on regularly scheduled workday; double time thereaf- ter. Time and one-half for all hours worked after 40 hours per week between Sunday at 12:01 a.m. and following Saturday at midnight; double time after 8 hours of overtime. Double time for employee who does not have 32 consecu- tive hours free from work per week. Medical benefits: Employer pays 85% of premiums, em- ployee pays 15% of premiums. Employees who work 750 hours or more per 6-month period, will be eligible for cov- erage in following 6-month period. Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate fam- ily (spouse, parent, child, brother, sister, same or oppo- site sex common-law spouse, grandparent, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandchild). 2 additional days for travel out- side B.C. Seniority – recall rights: 4 months for temporary assign- ments with employer outside bargaining unit; 6 month when employee does not work (pro- viding it isn't for authorized leave). Call-in pay: Minimum of 3 hours of pay at overtime rates. Probationary period: 3 calen- dar months. Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months; 24 months where finding of harassment has been made. Safety shoes: $150 every 2 years to 10 stock workers (pre- viously 6 stock workers) who worked most hours in previous calendar year. Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide protective cloth- ing, safety equipment for em- ployees. Employer will provide coveralls and uniform appro- priate to summer season for all stock employees. Employer will provide CSA-approved work gloves to all stock em- ployees.
