Paid holidays: 11 days. Vacations with pay: 77.5 hours or 2 weeks to start, 116.25 hours or 3 weeks after 3 years, 155 hours or 4 weeks after 6 years, 193.75 hours or 5 weeks after 12 years for LPNs. 75 hours or 2 weeks to start, 112.5 hours or 3 weeks after 3 years, 150 hours or 4 weeks after 6 years, 187.5 hours or 5 weeks after 12 years for all other employees. Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 7.5 hours per day (7.75 hours per day for LPNs) and for all work after 75 hours per 2-week pay pe- riod (77.75 hours per week for LPNs). Time and one-half for all work on assigned day off and work after 5 consecutive days without day off for full- time employees; 6 consecutive days without day off for part- time employees. Medical benefits: lntercare Group Benefit Plan. Employer pays 70% of premiums, em- ployee pays 30% of premiums. Dental: Employer pays 66 2/3% of premiums, employee pays 33 1/3% of premiums for coverage of 80% of routine preventative work; 50% of major restorative work; $1,200 maximum of orthodontia for dependents 6 to 18 years old. Combined basic, major dental coverage $1,750 per year. Vision: Employer pays 70% of premiums, employee pays 30% of premiums for coverage of $375 every 24 months. Sick leave: 0.83 days per month (162.5 hours or 168 hours for LPNs) of service, accumulative maximum 120 days. Life insurance: Employer pays 75% of premiums, em- ployee pays 25% of premiums. Pension: Employer admin- istered RRSP. Employer will match employee's contribu- tions: maximum 2% after 1 year of service; maximum 2.75% after 6 years of service; maximum 3% after 10 years of service. Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate fam- ily (wife, husband, child, mother, father, grandfather, grandmother, grandchild, brother, sister, guardian, or same-gender partner; mother-in-law, father-in-law, sister-in-law and brother- in-law of employee's spouses family (common-law spouse will mean person who has cohabited continuously for 1 year)). 2 additional calendar days if travel out of province is necessary to attend funeral (1 day will be paid). Seniority – recall rights: 6 months for layoff; 12 months for employees who success- fully post into temporary out- of-scope positions; 24 months for absence during illness. Call-in pay: Minimum of 2 hours of pay at straight-time rates or actual hours worked at time and one-half of em- ployee's regular rate of pay, whichever is greater. Probationary period: 520 hours or 6 months, whichever is shorter. Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months for any disci- plinary action. Any leave of absence greater than 30 days will not be calculated towards 24-month period. Records of disciplinary action after mis- treatment of resident will not be removed from employee file.
