Signed on July 15, 2019. Wage adjustments: Effective April 1, 2019: 2.62% Effective April 1, 2020: 3% Shift premium: $0.75 per hour for entire shift worked for employees working evening shift (major portion occurs between 3 p.m. and 11 p.m.). $1.25 per hour for entire shift worked employees working night shift (major portion occurs between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m.). Employees hired prior to Aug. 3, 2011, who are receiving shift dif- ferentials of $1 per hour for evening shifts; $1.50 per hour for night shifts will continue to receive higher rate. $0.50 per hour for all hours spent driving or performing driv- ing-related duties for employ- ees who are required to hold class 4 driver's licence. $1.25 per hour for all hours worked when RN is designated to be in-charge. Paid holidays: 11 days. LPNs, RNs, residential care aides will be paid 4.2% of gross earnings in lieu of statutory holidays on each paycheque. Vacations with pay: 15 days after 1 year, 20 days after 5 years, 1 additional day per year, maximum of 25 days, after 11 years. employee may carry over maximum 5 days' vacation leave per year which must be taken in following year. Overtime: Time and one-half for first 4 hours of overtime on regularly scheduled workday; double time thereafter. Will be compensated in cash only. Meal allowance: Maximum $10 if no meal is available on site or meal at employer's ex- pense for employee who works minimum of 2.5 hours of overtime following scheduled hours of work. Medical benefits: Employer pays 65% of premiums, em- ployee pays 35% of premiums. Employer pays 50% of pre- miums, employee pays 50% of premiums for Medical Servi- ces Plan of B.C. Dental: Employer pays 65% of premiums, employee pays 35% of premiums. 80% coverage for basic; 60% coverage for major restorative, maximum $2,000 per year per person basic, ma- jor combined. Vision: Employer pays 65% of premiums, employee pays 35% of premiums. Eye exams: 1 exam every 2 years at 80% coverage, maximum $75 reim- bursement. Paramedical: Employer pays 65% of premiums, employee pays 35% of premiums. 80% coverage, $500 maximum reimbursement per year for paramedical practitioners: acupuncturist, chiropractor, massage therapist, physiother- apist, psychologist, speech therapist, podiatrist, naturo- path. Sick leave: 1 day per month or 12 per year, cumulative to maximum of 350 hours. AD&D: Employer pays 65% of premiums, employee pays 35% of premiums for coverage of $50,000. Life insurance: Employer pays 65% of premiums, employee pays 35% of premiums for coverage of $50,000. Pension: Employer will pro- vide RRSP plan to regular em- ployees with minimum man- datory employee contribution of 1% and employer will match employee's contributions max- imum 2% of annual earnings. Employees may make addi- tional voluntary contributions for themselves or spouse up to maximum allowed by CRA. Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (parent (including foster-par- ent), spouse, common-law spouse, grandparent, grand- child, child, brother, sister, father-in-law, mother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, legal guardian, legal ward, any other person residing in employee's household). 2 additional days, without pay, may be given to employees for travelling time. Seniority – recall rights: 12 months for layoffs. Call-in pay: Minimum of 2 hours' pay at regular rate of pay if employee does not commence work; minimum of 4 hours' pay at regular rate if employee commences work. Probationary period: 488 hours worked. Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months for disciplinary actions deemed grievable by employee such as written censures, letters of reprimand, and adverse reports or per- formance appraisals. Severance: 1 week's pay after 3 months of employment; 2 weeks' pay after 12 months of employment; 1 additional week for each subsequent year of employment, maximum 8 weeks of pay. Uniforms/clothing: Employer will supply suitable rubber gloves, aprons, other protect- ive clothing. Employer will supply, maintain uniforms for employees who are required to wear uniforms.
