Shift premium: Double time when employee schedule does not permit 12-hour break be- tween work periods. Double time for first shift worked, when employee is given new schedule and starting time if more than 1 hour sooner or lat- er of previous schedule. Time may be banked, maximum 56 hours. Paid holidays: 9 days (11 days plus 1 floating day for employ- ees on certain schedules). Vacations with pay: During first year of service, employee may take 1 week off after 6 months of service (remain- ing 2 weeks will be taken after first year of service is done), 3 weeks after 1 year, 4 weeks after 10 years, 5 weeks after 18 years, 6 weeks after 25 years. 24 hours of travel time with pay at employee's hourly rate will be granted each year to each employee in conjunction with annual vacation. Overtime: Double time for all work after 40 hours per week, when averaged over employee's shift cycle. Meal allowance: Suitable hot meal (eaten on company time) for employee who works more than 2 hours beyond regular stopping time and has not had 8 hours of notice of overtime prior to shift. Meals will be furnished thereafter at 4-hour intervals throughout remaining period of work. Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (spouse (including common- law, same-sex), parent (includ- ing stepparent, foster parent) of employee or employee's spouse, child (including step- child, foster-child) of employee or employee's spouse, grand- parents (including stepgrand- parents) of employee or em- ployee's spouse, grandchildren (including stepgrandchildren) of employee or employee's spouse, sister/brother (includ- ing in-laws), daughter/son (including in-laws)). Additional 2 days for travel for employees not covered by overtime agree- ment. Seniority – recall rights: 12 months after layoffs. 1,040 work- ing hours per year for employee who accepts promotion or trans- fer out of bargaining unit. Call-in pay: Greater of applica- ble overtime rate or minimum of 4 hours' pay computed at ap- plicable overtime rate (employ- ee will not be required to return to work on regular shift for less than 2 hours). If call-in extends up to commencement of em- ployee's regular shift, employee will normally take 8-hour break. However, if requested to work after commencement of employee's regular shift, em- ployee will receive applicable overtime rate for hours worked. Probationary period: 480 working hours. Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months for letters of discipline. Severance: 2 weeks' pay plus 2 weeks' multiplied by 1.15, pro- vided employee has at least 1 year of continuous service with employer. Employer will reim- burse employee for training or moving costs incurred within 2 years of termination, maximum $2,000, provided expense is for outside employment oppor- tunity, less any other training or moving subsidy available to employee. Uniforms/clothing: Employ- ees will receive twice weekly clothing changes and additional coveralls may be supplied. $125 per year for any employee who works majority of time outdoors and is not being supplied with Nomex winter clothing. Tool allowance: All required tools will be supplied by em- ployer at no cost to mainte- nance employees.
