Employer will provide $2,000 (in form of standing-offer agreement with store of employer's choice) and will ensure that ordered items are delivered on scheduled biweekly basis as food and living supplies for lookout-tower persons. Standby: $12 for each 8-hour period or portion thereof; $16 for each 8-hour period or portion thereof that employee is on standby on day of rest. Minimum 4 hours of straight-time pay when called in. Wage adjustments: Effective Oct. 15, 2020: 0.5% Effective Oct. 15, 2021: 1.1% Effective Oct. 15, 2022: 1.7% Shift premium: $0.60 per hour for afternoon shift. $0.90 per hour for midnight shift. $0.85 per hour for continental (48 hours first week, 36 hours second week) 12-hour days. $1.20 per hour for continental 12-hour nights. $1.50 per hour for health and safety represen- tative. Paid holidays: 12 or 13 days in- cluding 3 or 4 float days during December holiday period. Vacations with pay: 1 week after 6 months, 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 5 years, 4 weeks after 10 years, 5 weeks after 20 years. Employees reaching 15 years will be en- titled to 2 unpaid days. Em- ployees must be notified 30 days in advance of any summer shutdowns that require use of vacation time. Overtime: Time and one-half for hours worked in excess of 8 hours in normal work day and all time worked on Satur- day. Double time for all time worked on Sunday and paid holidays. Continental shift: Time and one-half for hours worked in excess of regularly scheduled 12 hours and hours worked on days not regularly scheduled, excluding Sunday. Double time for hours worked in excess of 4 on Sunday in week 1 and all time on Sunday in week 2 and all time worked on paid holiday. Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums. 100% coverage for basic, 50% coverage for major and orthodontics. Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Plan covers eye ex- ams and $400 every 2 years. Paramedical: $650 for chiro- practor. Sick leave: Sick leaves granted to employees on seniority list, without loss of seniority, for reasons of sickness or accident. In case of extended leave due to sickness or accident, employer will have right to periodically have employee produce medi- cal evidence, which is accept- able to employer in support of such leave. LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums. AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $77,000. Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $77,000. Pension: Employer pays $3.13 per hour to pension plan. Bereavement leave: 5 paid days for death of current spouse, child, parent, sibling, stepchild, stepsibling, steppar- ent, current parent-in-law, cur- rent spouse's stepparent. 3 paid days for death of grandparent, grandchild, sibling-in-law. 1 paid day for sibling's current spouse, child-in-law, child's parent, current spouse's grand- parent. Seniority – recall rights: 24 months (previously greater of 18 months or length of service) for layoffs. Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours' pay at premium rate when called back to take care of emergency after leaving work. Call-in that begins on Sunday and continues into Monday will be paid at double time for all hours worked. Call-in that be- gins on Saturday and continues into Sunday will be paid time and one-half for Saturday hours and double time for Sunday hours. Probationary period: 480 hours of work within 12-month period. Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months for disciplinary records. Severance: 1.5 weeks per year of service for employees with up to 5 years of service. 3 weeks per year of service for employees with 5 or more years of service, in event of plant closure. Safety shoes: $175 per year for approved safety shoes or boots for regular employees only. $20 per year for pur- chase of insoles. Where safety shoes may deteriorate due to working conditions, employer may authorize additional $125 towards second pair within 12-month period. Uniforms/clothing: Employer provides all protective clothing to employees whose work re- quires them to wear it. Winter coats and raincoats will be available in various sizes for each area. Employer will pay full cost per calendar year for prescription safety glasses. Tool allowance: Employer pro- vides protective devices with necessary tools and equipment to employees whose work re- quires them. $700 per year for active skilled trades employees and apprentices towards pur- chase of tools or measuring devices that are required by employer. Sample rates of hourly pay (current, after 2.8% increase): Cutting inspection/cutting inspection/customer focus/ prototype laboratory, weaver/ selvedge re-roll/tool crib APS specialist receiver clerk/scour- er coater: $23.13 rising 2 steps to $23.78 Knotter/float class/material handler/shipper receiver: $24.03 rising in $24.68 Set-up techs/oiler greaser/ skilled trades helpers: $25.53 rising 2 steps to $26.18 Chairperson/skilled trades (ap- prentices): $34.43 rising 2 steps to $35.28 Apprentices First 1,000 hours: minimum 65% of classification group rate Second 1,000 hours: minimum 70% of classification group rate Third 1,000 hours: minimum 75% of classification group rate Fourth 1,000 hours: minimum 80% of classification group rate Fifth 1,000 hours: minimum 85% of classification group rate Sixth 1,000 hours: minimum 90% of classification group rate Seventh 1,000 hours: minimum 95% of classification group rate Eighth 1,000 hours: minimum 95% of classification group rate Editor's notes: Anti-harassment training: All employees will receive minimum of 4 hours of anti-harassment training in 2019, 2021, 2023, 2025 and 2027. Displaced employee: Employee who has been displaced due to layoff will have recall rights to that classification for 12 months from date they were displaced. Shift change: Employee requested by employer to change shift during regular workweek will be paid at time and one-half for first shift of newly scheduled shift, if not giv- en 3 working days' notice of change. Paid absence allowance days: 1 day in first calendar year if hired after June 30; 2 days per calendar year; 3 days per calendar year in fifth year and thereafter. Unifor paid education leave: Employer will pay $0.03 per employee for all compensated hours into special fund for paid education leave. Social justice fund: Employer will contribute $0.01 per hour worked per employee to Unifor Social Justice Fund. Orthotics: $500 per year.
