Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $350 every 24 months per employee or dependant. Paramedical: $450 per year for paramedical services. Weekly indemnity: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage: first day for accident, first day for hospitalization, fourth day for illness – 15 weeks at 70% of regular weekly earnings paid by insurer; 15 weeks paid by EI; 11 weeks at 50% of regular weekly earnings paid by insurer. Sick leave: 4 hours for each completed months of continu- ous employment in previous calendar year, maximum of 40 hours. Not cumulative from year-to-year. Once per calen- dar year, employer will com- pensate for loss of 3 days' wag- es during 3-day waiting period for employees qualifying for weekly indemnity benefits. AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums for $45,000 cov- erage. Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for $45,000 coverage. Pension: Employer and em- ployee each contribute equiva- lent of 3.2% of employee's yearly maximum pensionable earnings and 5% of earnings over yearly maximum pen- sionable earnings to Fairmont Hotels pension plan. Employer also provides voluntary sup- plemental retirement savings plan in which it contributes 1% of yearly maximum pension- able earnings and employee contributes at least 1%. Bereavement leave: 5 paid days during 7-calendar-day period for death of spouse or child. 4 paid days for death of parent, stepparent, sibling, parent-in-law, grandparent, grandchild. Up to 2 days may be delayed for purpose of at- tending funeral or service later. Seniority – recall rights: Time equal to length of con- tinuous service, maximum of 2 years. Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours' pay at time and one- half. Probationary period: 360 hours or 60 days of actual work, whichever comes first. Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months. Severance: Employees who are terminated through tech- nological change or operation- al changes, upon submission of formal resignation, receive 2 weeks if service is between 6 months and 5 years. After 5 years, severance pay in ac- cordance with Employment Standards Act of Ontario. Ac- ceptance of severance pay is deemed resignation and will result in removal from senior- ity list. Safety shoes: Reimbursement up to $110 every 2 years for employees in maintenance department, culinary depart- ment, stewarding depart- ment, banquet houseperson, and receiver/storekeeper who are required to wear safety or non-slip shoes and for doorperson/valets for winter boots. Uniforms/clothing: Employ- ees required to wear uniforms will have them supplied by employer free of charge, along with necessary valet and laun- dry service. Hat, coat, outer garments for employees in culinary department will be supplied by employer free of charge. Hearing aids: $500 every 4 years. Shift premium: $0.75 per hour for all hours assigned to training other employees.
