Editor's notes: Resignation revocation: Employee will be permitted to revoke resignation at any time within 48 hours of act of resignation. Winter holiday bonus: Each employee will be entitled to annual winter holiday bonus equivalent to 2% of employee's gross salary, between April 1 and Oct. 31 of same year. Standby pay: 1 hour's pay for each 24 consecutive hours or portion thereof on standby. Self-care leave: Employees will be entitled to use up to 16 hours of sick leave for self-care. Wage adjustments: Effective May 1, 2020: 3.4% Effective May 1, 2021: 2% Effective May 1, 2022: 2% Shift premium: 12-hour shift: $1.13 per hour for day shift (8 a.m. to 8 p.m.). $1.50 per hour for night shift (8 p.m. to 8 a.m.). 8-hour fixed shift: $0.40 per hour for afternoon shift (4 p.m. to midnight). $0.55 per hour for midnight shift (mid- night to 8 a.m.). Paid holidays: 12 days includ- ing 1 random day. Vacations with pay: In accor- dance with current provincial legislation to start, 3 weeks or 6% after 5 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 12 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 18 years, 6 weeks or 12% after 26 years. Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked in excess of 40 hours per week or on Sat- urday. Double time for all hours worked on Sunday. For employ- ees on 12-hour shifts, time and one-half for all hours worked on Saturday and Sunday pro- vided employee has worked all scheduled hours in pay pe- riod; if employee doesn't work scheduled hours, time and one-half for all hours worked in excess of 44 in 1 week. Meal allowance: $8 if over- time is worked due to call-in or holdback at beginning or end of same shift for duration of no less than 2 hours. Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for major medical health insur- ance, extended care benefits up to $25,000 and full drug plan with employee paying first $0.20 of each prescrip- tion. Survivor benefits will be made available to eligible fam- ily members for 2 years follow- ing date of death of employee. Dental: Employer pays 100% of basic plan with $25 (single) and $50 (family) deductible per year; 75% major dental coverage for dentures, lim- ited to full replacement every 5 years. Current ODA fee schedule with $2,500 maxi- mum, orthodontic coverage for dependent children with $2,500 lifetime limit and 50% co-insurance. Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $500 every 2 years with paid eye exams. Weekly indemnity: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 66 2/3% of regular earnings for up to 26 weeks. Payment begins on fourth day of illness and first day of disability due to major illness. LTD: Employer pays full cost of premiums for coverage of 60% of weekly earnings up to $2,000, beginning after 26 weeks dis- ability until age 65 or recovery. AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $45,000 Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for cover- age of $45,000 for employee, $20,000 for employee's spouse, $10,000 for dependant. Pension: DB pension plan: Employer contributes $2.03 per employee hour worked in first year; $1.74 per employee hour worked in second year. Employee contributes $1.25 in first year and $1.54 in second year. Early retirement pay- ment available at 60 years old for employees with 27 years of service. Bereavement leave: 5 paid days for death and funeral of spouse or child. 3 paid days for death and funeral of parent, sibling, parent-in-law, grand- parent, grandchild, stepparent, stepchild, stepgrandparent, child-in-law. 1 paid day for death of sibling-in-law, aunt, uncle, grandparent-in-law. Seniority – recall rights: 12 months for employee with more than 1 year of services; 18 months for employee with more than 5 years of service. For employees with less than 1 year, period equal to length of employment. Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours' at regular hourly rate. Regular hourly rate for stand- by time at home. Probationary period: 45 days worked within any period of 6 consecutive months; 90 calen- dar days for apprentices. Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months for serious insub- ordination, fighting , assault or threatening, harassment, or consuming alcohol or drugs during working hours. 12 months for all other offenses. Severance: In event of plant closure, employees not on layoff will receive 2 weeks' pay at average hourly earnings for each year of service up to 52 weeks' pay. Safety shoes: $125 every 6 months for safety shoes allow- ance. Uniforms/clothing: Employer pays 100% of cost of company- approved safety prescription glasses up to $165 per year. Employer will supply 1 pair of insulated coveralls to regular employees who work in un- heated areas.
