Time and one-half for all hours worked on holiday up to regular daily scheduled hours of work and double time thereafter. Meal allowance: $12 (formerly $10.25) when employee who works 3 or more hours of over- time, except where free meals are provided. Another $12 after additional 4 hours of overtime are worked. Sick leave: 9.375 hours for each calendar month for which em- ployee receives pay for at least 75 hours. Up to 112.5 hours may be granted in advance, 187.5 hours if application for injury-on-duty leave is pend- ing. Bereavement leave: 7 con- secutive calendar days or 2 periods of up to 5 working days for death of parent, stepparent, foster-parent, sibling, steps- ibling, spouse, common-law spouse, child, child of com- mon-law partner, stepchild, foster-child, ward of employee, grandchild, parent-in-law, child-in-law, grandparent, rela- tive permanently residing in employee's household, person who stands in place of relative whether or not there is any blood relation. 1 paid day for death of sibling-in-law, aunt, uncle, grandparent-in-law. Up to 3 additional paid days may be granted for travel related to death. Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours at straight time to maximum of 8 hours' pay in 8-hour period or overtime rate for time worked, whichever is greater. Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years. Severance: On first layoff, 2 weeks' pay after 1 year of con- tinuous employment, 3 weeks' pay for employees with 10 years of continuous employment, 4 weeks' pay for employees with 20 years of continuous employ- ment. In addition, 1 week's pay for each additional complete year of continuous employ- ment and portion of 1 week's pay for additional partial week of pay. On second or subse- quent layoff, 1 week's pay for each complete year of continu- ous employment plus 1 partial week's pay for partial year of employment, less any period in which employee was granted severance pay under first layoff. Employee death: If employee dies, employer will pay to em- ployee's estate 1 week's pay for each complete year of employ- ment plus 1 partial week's pay for any additional partial year of employment, up to 30 weeks' pay. Pension: Employer will con- tribute $0.50 per hour (previ- ously $0.15 per hour) to RRSP. Employees will contribute mini- mum $0.50 per hour to RRSP but may contribute more.
