employees are actually per- forming higher-rated duties for employees who perform prin- cipal duties of higher paying position for more than 5 work days. 10% additional compen- sation for staff employee per- forming duties of employee or employees on same pay group or lower who are absent due to illness, family emergency, as recognition. Paid holidays: 12 days. Vacations with pay: 15 days to start, 16 days after 1 year, 17 days after 2 years, 18 days after 3 years, 19 days after 4 years, 20 days after 5 years, 21 days after 6 years, 23 days after 7 years. Overtime: Time and one-half for first 3 hours worked after 7 hours per or 70 biweekly hours. Double time after 3 hours worked on 1 day or 8 hours of overtime in 1 week. Double time for all hours worked on employee's second scheduled day off. Meal allowance: Employee will receive one-half hour paid at applicable overtime rate if overtime extends more than 2 hours beyond end of employ- ee's scheduled shift. LTD: Employee pays 100% of premiums. Bereavement leave: 7 days for death of parent, spouse, child, brother, sister, father-in-law, mother-in-law, grandparent, grandchild for type A or type B employees; 3 days for type C, type D, limited term or ses- sional employees. Seniority – recall rights: 15 months after layoffs for tenured faculty, type A, type B employ- ees; 5 months for type C, type D, auxiliary 2 employees; 3 consecutive academic terms for limited term and sessional employees. Call-in pay: Minimum of 4 hours of pay. Cancellation of call-in before employee starts work will result in minimum 2 hours' pay at applicable over- time rate. Probationary period: Mini- mum of 2 years plus 912 hours during each of 2 years for type C, type D employees. 2 years for type B employees. 2 years — which must include 4 semesters of regular teach- ing assignment or equivalent teaching workload or term will be extended — for all ap- pointees to tenure-track or tenured positions. Minimum of 4 courses over minimum of 4 semesters for sessional faculty. 912 hours for staff employee on continuing appointment. 1 year if type B permanent contract faculty employee on continu- ing appointment is transferred, promoted or bumps into differ- ent type B permanent faculty position. Severance: 2 weeks after 1 year of service; 4 weeks after 2 years, 6 weeks after 3 years, 8 weeks after 4 years, 10 weeks after 5 years, 12 weeks after 6 years, 14 weeks after 7 years, 16 weeks after 8 years, 20 weeks after 10 years, 22 weeks after 11 years, 24 weeks after 12 year, 26 weeks after 13 years. Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide 4 shirts per year for type A janitorial staff. Mileage: $0.54 per kilometre (previously $0.53 per kilome- tre) for employees required to use private vehicles for em- ployer business.
