COLLECTIVE AGREEMENTS COLLECTIVE AGREEMENTS Safety shoes: Employer fur- nishes 1 pair of safety shoes or boots once per year, maximum of $130 plus taxes, increasing to $150 on Aug. 1, 2021. Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide minimum 2 pairs of pants, 2 long-sleeve shirts, 4 short-sleeve shirts every year. Employees will be permitted to wear Bermuda-style shorts (knee length) provided they are in work colours only (blue, beige, black, brown). Mileage: Employee transferred to another facility will receive mileage at $0.50 per kilometre from employee's residence to new facility or from employee's former location to new facility, whichever is greater, maximum $27 per day per employee. Sample rates of hourly pay (current, after 2.7% increase): General labour/housekeeping: $16.80 rising 1 step $17.25 Counter 1 (admin)/order prep/ materials feeder/packer: $17.95 rising 1 step to $18.40 Receiver/utility and main- tenance: $20 rising 1 step to $20.45 Forklift operator/certified ma- chine operator (pneumatic)/ shipper: $22 rising 1 step to $22.45 All employees, who are em- ployed on or after date of rati- fication, will receive lump-sum gross payment of $0.25 for each straight-time hour worked and $0.375 for each overtime hour worked between Aug. 1, 2020 and ratification. All employees, who are em- ployed on or after date of rati- fication, will receive lump-sum gross payment of $0.55 for each straight-time hour worked and $0.825 for each overtime hour worked between Aug. 1, 2021 and ratification. Editor's notes: Citizenship leave: 8 hours without pay to be sworn in as Canadian citizen. Medical certificates: Whenever medical certificate is requested by employer, employee will be reimbursed for any charges incurred by medical practitioner. BUILDING EQUIPMENT CONTRACTORS AECOM Maintenance Contractors Calgary (970 construction workers) and the Construction Workers Union CLAC, Local 63 Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2021 to Aug. 31, 2023. Signed on Jan. 1, 2021. Shift premium: 5% (of current rate) for lead-hand. 15% (of current rate) for foreman. 22% (of current rate) for relief coor- dinator. $3 per hour (majority of shift hours between 5 p.m. and 8 a.m.) for night shift. $2 per hour for stainless premium. $3 per hour for chrome pre- mium. $4 per hour for titanium premium (for all hours worked using specialty alloys). $2 per hour for dual ticket (2 Alberta or Red Seal journeyman tickets and hired with intent to use both tickets or performs both tasks). $0.20 per hour per 10 tonnes over 66 tonnes for crane premium. $1 per hour for stew- ard. $1 per hour for steward w/ tool box 1. $1 per hour for steward w/ tool box 2. $1.25 per hour for steward w/ tool box 3. $2 per hour for chief steward w/ tool box 1. $2 per hour for chief steward w/ tool box 2. $2.50 per hour for chief stew- ard w/ tool box 3 Paid holidays: 11 days. Vacations with pay: Employ- ees will receive 6% of base wage rate for all hours worked as va- cation pay; additional 2% after 5 years of service; additional 2% after 10 years of service; additional 2% after 15 years of service. Overtime: Time and one-half for work in excess of 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week (where no pre-job conference report or hours-of-work aver- aging agreement in effect). Em- ployees will receive 15-minute paid rest break at start (or at earliest convenience when per- forming critical tasks) for any overtime worked for more than 1 hour. Time and one-half for work on scheduled days off. Meal allowance: Employer will provide paid meal period of one-half hour and meal provid- ed for employees if employees work beyond 12 hours in 1 day. Medical benefits: Employer will contribute $1.95 per hour to CLAC Health and Welfare Trust Fund. Dental: Coverage of 100% reimbursement up to $2,000 per person annual for basic ser- vices; 50% reimbursement, up to $2,000 per person annual for major services; 50% reimburse- ment, up to $3,000 lifetime maximum per child younger than 19 for orthodontic. Vision: Coverage of $300 per year for dependants younger than 21; $300 every two years for those 21 and older. Paramedical: Coverage of $50 per visit, doctor's referral re- quired, for massage therapy. STD: Coverage of 60% of week- ly basic earnings, maximum $600 per week. Weekly ben- efits, payable after first day of accident or hospitalization and fourteenth day of illness, maxi- mum 119 days (1/14/119). LTD: Coverage of 60% of week- ly basic earnings, maximum $2,600 per month. Weekly benefits, payable after 119 days until 65 years old (119/65). AD&D: Coverage of $100,000. Life insurance: Coverage of $100,000. Pension: Employer will con- tribute 6% to CLAC Pension Plan. Employer will contrib- ute up to additional 2% when employee elects to voluntarily contribute up to 2% of base wage rate to pension plan (minimum 2% contribution). Employee may make further voluntary contributions. Bereavement leave: 3 days, maximum 12 straight-time hours per day, for death in family (spouse, common-law spouse, child, legal dependant, father, mother, stepfather, step- mother, father-in-law, mother- in-law, brother, brother-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, grandpar- ents, grandchildren). Seniority – recall rights: 6 months after layoff. Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours' pay at appropriate rate. Probationary period: 90 calendar days (period may be extended by additional 30 cal- endar days). Safety shoes: Employees will wear CSA-approved safety boots supplied by employee. Employees will receive $0.15 per hour for all regularly sched- uled hours to be paid out on each pay cheque as boot allow- ance. Uniforms/clothing: Employ- ees will wear CSA-approved safety hats to be made available by employer. Employer will fur- nish employees with all safety equipment excluding prescrip- tion safety eyewear; any worn out safety equipment will be replaced upon presentation of worn equipment.
