Employee may carry over maximum 2 weeks per year. Overtime: Time and one-half for work after 7 hours per day or 35 hours per week. Double time after 2 hours of overtime. Time and one-half for work on day or rest; double time for employee who works both con- secutive days of rest on second day of rest worked. Time may be banked, maximum 20 days in bank. Meal allowance: Meal or meal allowance of $15 (previously $6) for more than 2 hours of overtime and every 4 hours thereafter. Medical benefits: Employer will pay 100% of premiums for supplementary health care plan for regular employees. Employer will $2,250 to each eligible employee on Sept. 1 of each year for health and well- ness spending. Unused credits may be carried forward for 1 year after year in which credits are allocated. At end of second year on Aug. 31, unused credits are subject to forfeiture unless claimed by employee. Employ- ee may claim 75% of such cred- its by Sept. 30. Dental: Employer will pay 100% of premiums for dental insurance plan for regular em- ployees. Sick leave: Leave of absence with pay is allowable on ac- count of illness from start of each fiscal year for 26 weeks or 130 work days per fiscal year. LTD: Employer will pay 100% of premiums for LTD plan for regular employees. Coverage of 70% of pre-disability gross sal- ary with elimination period of 26 weeks or 130 working days. AD&D:Employer will pay 100% of premiums for coverage of $25,000 (increased to $100,000 when death or dismemberment is sustained by employee who is away from normal place of business and is travelling on employer's business and is in effect 24 hours per day during duration of travel). Life insurance: Employer will pay 100% of premiums. Pension: Employer will pro- vide 10.8% of each regular employee's monthly salary in lieu of pension (amount will be provided electronically directly to employee's RRSP account where possible). Effective April 1, 2022: 10.9%. Effective April 1, 2023: 11%. Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of child, stepchild, sibling, spouse (including common-law spouse), parent, grandparent or spouse of any of above (or those of spouse), any person who is dependant of employee who lives in em- ployee's household. 1 day, with pay, to attend funeral of per- sons other than those specified. Maximum 10 days per year of leave. Seniority – recall rights: 24 consecutive calendar months after layoff. Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours of pay at applicable overtime rate, plus meal or meal allow- ance of $15 (previously $6) every 4 hours, plus $30 travel compensation each round trip. Probationary period: Maxi- mum 6 months of work unless extended by mutual agreement for up to 3 additional months. Discipline: Sunset clause is 1 year for adverse reports, disci- plinary actions. Severance: 1 month's pay per year of service, maximum 12 months. Employee who elects to terminate employment rela- tionship when layoffs are con- templated will receive $1,000 retraining allowance payable to training or educational entity of employee's choosing. Employ- ees must exercise right within 12 months of terminating em- ployment. Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide apparel, at no cost to employee, when employee is required either as condition of employment or because of na- ture of work to wear uniforms, coveralls or other special wear- ing apparel. Mileage: $0.51 per kilometre where field staff use own ve- hicle for travel on behalf of em- ployer outside corporate limits of Edmonton. Labour relations officers will receive vehicle al- lowance of $150 per month. Cellphones: When employer determines that cellphone is required for work of employee it will be provided by employer or allowance of $85 per month will be paid for employee's personal cellphone. Employee expenses: When employee is required to travel and is away from regular domicile, employee will be entitled to claim cost of accommodations or $30 for each night where private arrangements are made by employee. In addition, employee will be en- titled to $10 daily miscellaneous allowance. When employee is required to purchase meals: $15 for breakfast; $15 for lunch; $30 for dinner. Employee development: Employer will provide $11,000 per year for employee development fund.
