Paid holidays: 11 days. Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 5 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 10 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 15 years. Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week; on first scheduled day of rest. Double time for all work on second scheduled day of rest. Meal allowance: $10 if em- ployee is required to work un- scheduled overtime in excess of 1 hour before or beyond normal shift or combination thereof which totals 1 hour. Medical benefits: Alberta Health-Care Insurance Plan will be made available to all employ- ees after 6 months of service. Dental: 100% coverage for basic services. 50% coverage for major restorative services, maximum $1,500 per year. 50% coverage for orthodontics, lifetime maximum $1,500 for dependent children younger than 20. Vision: $200 every 24 months for adults, every 12 months for children. Weekly indemnity: 70% week- ly earnings, maximum $500 for 17 weeks. AD&D: Maximum $25,000. Life insurance: Maximum $25,000. Pension: Employer will con- tribute $0.30 per hour (previ- ously $0.25 per hour) into Can- adian Commercial Workers' Industry Pension Plan. Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (spouse, son, daughter, mother, father, sister, sister-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, mother-in-law, father-in- law, common-law spouse, grandchildren). 4 additional days if death occurs outside Alberta. 1 day for death of grandparent. Seniority – recall rights: 6 months. Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours of work or 4 hours of pay at applicable overtime rate. Probationary period: 90 days. Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months for written disciplinary reprimands. Safety shoes: $125 per year for safety footwear. Uniforms/clothing: Employer will supply protective clothing (freezer coats, gloves, hair/ beard nets, smocks, coveralls, sleeves and aprons). Tool allowance: $200 per year for each maintenance employ- ee. Employer shall reimburse tradesmen for loss of tools and cabinets damaged by fire or disaster — not caused by any employee — while on company property. Meal allowance: $15 for em- ployees who work 4 or more hours of overtime after regular- ly scheduled shift. Medical benefits: Employer will provide employees with group insured benefits pro- gram. Sick leave: 8 days per year. Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in immediate family (em- ployee's mother, father, sister, brother, husband, wife, child). 3 days for death of mother-in- law, father-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, grandparents. Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours at double time for emergencies. Annual exams: Employer will pay cost of annual medical examinations, required in compliance with Meat Inspection Act.
