Bereavement leave: 7 days for death in immediate or extended family (spouse and respective parents, stepparents, guardians, in loco parentis, grandparents, grandchildren, children, step- children, foster-children, sib- lings, stepsiblings, aunt, uncle, brother or sister of employee's spouse, other persons whom employee considers to be family as approved by supervisor/ manager/chair). One-half day to attend funeral of persons specified as immediate or ex- tended family. Call-in pay: Minimum 3 hours' pay at overtime rates or equiva- lent in time off. Flat rate of $20 for travel time. Probationary period: 6 months. Discipline: Sunset clause is 36 months (unless it is determined by associate vice-president, hu- man resources or designate and president of MRSA that nature and severity of action warrants retention of record). Severance: 3 weeks of salary for each year of service, maximum payment of 52 weeks of salary. Uniforms/clothing: Employ- ees will be supplied, at employ- er's expense, with all necessary tools, protective clothing, safety footwear, safety equip- ment, other protective devices which will be replaced when necessary. Uniforms, including work- and weather-dependent clothing, will be supplied for employees in appropriate de- partments.
