Unused sick pay will be paid out on first pay per- iod following Dec. 1 each year. STD: 70% of basic weekly wage. LTD: 65% of basic wages after 3 years of service. AD&D: Coverage of $100,000. Life insurance: Coverage of $100,000. Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of spouse, children. 3 days for death of members of household, parents, brothers, sisters, grandparents, mother- in-law, father-in-law, son-in- law, daughter-in-law, grandchil- dren, stepparent, stepchildren, stepsibling. 1 day for death of niece, nephews. 1 day to attend funeral as pallbearer. Seniority – recall rights: 12 months or 24 months after 5 years of seniority. Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours' pay at time and one-half, ex- cept when call-in occurs on second assigned day off and is longer than 4 hours, in which case double time for all hours worked. Probationary period: 1,040 hours within any 12-month period. Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years. Severance: 1 week's pay per year of service; 2 weeks' pay per year of service after 9 years of service; 3 weeks' pay per year of service after 15 years of service, maximum 52 weeks' pay. Safety shoes: $200 paid on April 1 of each contract year (previously $150). Uniforms/clothing: Employ- er will supply rubber boots, waterproof suits for washing purposes. Employer will pro- vide outdoor clothing (insulat- ed parkas, insulated coveralls, uniforms). Sample rates of hourly pay (current, after $1.27-per-hour increase): Student: $15.81 rising 2 steps to $17.08 Probationer: $20.59 rising 2 steps to $21.86 Operator: $28.38 rising 2 steps to $29.65 Maintenance: $31.32 rising 2 steps to $32.59 Sample rates of hourly pay (current): Apprentices (% of base rate) 12 months: 70% 24 months: 80% 30 months: 85% 36 months: 90% 42 months: 95% 48 months: 100% Editor's notes: Maintenance on-call: Employee carrying maintenance cellphone will be compensated with pay equaling 2 call-ins. Training fund: Employer will contribute $250 per year to UFCW Local 175 Training and Educa- tion Fund. WAREHOUSING Spectrum Supply Chain Solutions Calgary (41 warehouse personnel, janitors) and Teamsters, Local 362 Renewal agreement: Effec- tive June 1, 2018, to May 31, 2021. Shift premium: $0.70 per hour for work that begins between 12:59 p.m. and 10 p.m. Addi- tional $0.30 per hour for work completed after 11:30 p.m. $1 per hour for work that begins between 10:01 p.m. and 5:59 a.m. Paid holidays: 11 days. Vacations with pay: Maximum 10 days or 4% to start, 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 5 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 10 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 15 years. Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per day. Time and one-half for all work on sixth or seventh day of work, double time after 4 hours of overtime. Time may be taken as time off in lieu or banked, maximum 70 hours (previously 40 hours). Dental: Employer pays 75% of premiums, employee pays 25% of premiums. 50% reimburse- ment for major, orthodontics, maximum $1,500 lifetime. Vision: $350 every 24 months. Paramedical: $15 per visit, maximum 30 visits per year, for massage therapy. Weekly indemnity: Employer pays 75% of premiums, em- ployee pays 25% of premiums for coverage of 70% of weekly earnings, maximum $425 per week for up to 26 weeks. Sick leave: 5 days per year, unused days will be paid out in first pay period in January each year. LTD: Employee pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 60% of weekly earnings. AD&D: Employer pays 75% of premiums, employee pays 25% of premiums for coverage of $20,000. Life insurance: Employer pays 75% of premiums, employee pays 25% of premiums for cov- erage of $20,000. Pension: Employer contrib- utes $1.79 per hour (previously $0.35 per hour), employee con- tributes $0.30 per hour to group RRSP.
