Ratified on Nov. 9, 2018. Signed on Feb. 14, 2019. Wage adjustments: Effective May 1, 2018: 2% Effective May 1, 2019: 2% Effective May 1, 2020: 2% Shift premium: 12% field pre- mium. 10% for charge-hand. 5.5% for lead-hand. Paid holidays: 11 days. Vacations with pay: 3 weeks af- ter 1 year, 4 weeks after 9 years, 5 weeks after 15 years, 6 weeks after 25 years for employees hired before Jan. 27, 2017. 2 weeks to start, 3 weeks after 4 years, 4 weeks after 10 years, 5 weeks after 15 years, 6 weeks after 25 years for employees hired after Jan. 27, 2017. Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours on regular shift or 8 hours on scheduled days off. Double time for all work after 4 hours of overtime or on Sunday or on holiday. May be banked as time off in lieu, maximum 40 hours per year. Any unused time will be paid out by Jan. 31 of follow- ing year. Meal allowance: $15 after 4 hours of overtime. Medical benefits: Wajax Employee Group Benefit Plan. Pension: Employer contributes 3.5%, employee contributes 3.5% into mandatory DC pension plan. Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (husband, wife, children, mother, father, brother, sister, mother-in-law, father-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, stepparents, grandparents, grandchildren). Seniority – recall rights: 12 months. Call-in pay: Minimum of 2 hours of pay at applicable overtime rate or pay for ac- tual overtime hours worked at applicable overtime rate, whichever is greater. Probationary period: 4 months. Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months. Safety shoes: $210 per year for CSA-approved safety boots. $210 per year for CSA- approved winter safety boots. Uniforms/clothing: Employer will supply and launder ad- equate number of coveralls (minimum of 1 clean pair per day) for service technicians, yard employees and will replace when necessary. If employees are required to wear uniforms (shirts, pants), they will be sup- plied and cleaned by employer without charge. Employer will supply and clean smocks with- out charge for shipping, receiv- ing, warehouse personnel. Em- ployer will provide headset ear protectors, respirators, welding gloves, welding goggles and all manner of eye protectors to employees who are required by Workers' Compensation Act and Occupational Health and Safety Act to wear same and who request them. Employer will provide on as-required replacement basis following items: rainwear/rubber slicker, pants and rain hat, steel-toed rubber boots, insulated cover- alls or equivalent, winter liners for hard hats for yard person, plus knee pads for field-service employees. Tool allowance: Employer will provide tool insurance coverage for employees' tool boxes and tools on replacement-cost basis in event of loss by fire or theft of entire set of tools and box, when tools are on company property or in company vehi- cles. Maximum $25,000 per claim. Employer will pay cost of repairs for normal wear and tear on air and electric tools, torque wrenches and for cali- bration on precision tools that are supplied by employees. Travel costs: For work outside of Edmonton, $75 plus 15% gratuity per day for meals. Training costs: When training for employer, employer will pay all necessary travel expenses as per corporate policy. If assignment is held outside greater Edmonton area, all reasonable expenses will be reimbursed, maximum $60 per day. On-call: $175 for week on call. If week includes holiday, additional $50 for every holiday. $150 per occurrence for call-in between midnight and 7 a.m.
