Automobile allowance: When employee is required, as condition of employment, to have automobile at employee's disposal, employee will be paid $85 per month; $0.454 per kilometre for the first 9,000 kilometres per year, $0.315 per kilometre for kilometres in excess of 9,000 kilometres per year (previously $0.315 per kilometre). Private accommodations: $25 per night when employee provides own accommodations while travelling on employer's business; $5 per night for incidental expenses; $10 per week for parking expenses. Personal loss: Employer will compensate employee for any personal loss suffered in performance of duties, maximum $600. CONSTRUCTION Nova Scotia Labour Relations Association Provincewide, Nova Scotia (400 foremen, pushers, journeymen, apprentices engaged in handling, erecting, rigging and welding of bridge, structural, miscellaneous steel, ornamental metal work) and the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental and Reinforcing Iron Workers (IW), Local 752 Renewal agreement: Effective July 16, 2018, to April 30, 2023. Signed on Aug. 24, 2018. Shift premium: $3 for every hour (previously $1.70 per hour) worked on afternoon shift. $4 for every hour (previ- ously $2 per hour) worked on night shift. $4 per hour (pre- viously $3 per hour) over top rate being paid to journeymen ironworkers to foreman once crew exceeds 5 workers. $2 per hour (previously $1.50 per hour) over top rate being paid to journeymen ironworkers to pusher (qualified journeyman who directs group of employees under direction of foreman or superintendent) once crew ex- ceeds 3 workers. Paid holidays: 10 days. 2% of wages holiday pay. Vacations with pay: 7% of wages for vacation pay. Overtime: Time and one- half for all work after 8 hours Monday to Friday. Double time for all work after 2 hours of overtime or on Saturday and Sunday. Double time for all overtime worked on major industrial projects and all over- time worked on shutdowns. Meal allowance: Employer will provide free meal (hot if pos- sible) after 10 hours worked and at each 4-hour interval there- after when employee works more than 10 hours per shift without having been notified prior to day of shift or $25 (pre- viously $7.50) where this is impractical. Medical benefits: Employer will deduct $1.20 per hour from employee and employer will contribute $0.30 per hour to Iron Workers, Local 752 major medical and dental plan. For overtime hours payable at double time, employer will deduct $2.40 per hour from employee and employer will contribute $0.60 per hour. Pension: Employer will con- tribute $7.65 per hour (previ- ously $7.41 per hour) to Iron Workers Local Union 752 Pen- sion Trust Fund. Effective May 1, 2020: $7.77 per hour. Effect- ive May 1, 2021: $7.89 per hour. Effective May 1, 2022: $8.01 per hour. Bereavement leave: 1 day for death of spouse, mother, father, daughter, son, sister, brother. Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide following items when abnormal working con- ditions require use: rain suits, coveralls, gloves, welding jack- ets. Mileage: $0.55 per kilometre up to 120 kilometres one-way commute.
