Weekly indemnity: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 66 2/3% of weekly earnings or $447 per week, whichever is greater. LTD: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% premiums for coverage of 50% of normal annual earnings, less offsets, from date of expiration of weekly indemnity coverage. AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 2 times employee's base annual income. Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 2 times employee's base an- nual income. Pension: Employer pays 100% of costs for DB pension plan. Effective Jan. 1, 2019: New employees will contribute 6%, employer will contribute 7.25% into plan. Bereavement leave: 1 com- plete set of regular work shifts for death of spouse, child. 3 days for death in immediate family. Seniority – recall rights: 8 months to start; 1 year, plus 1 month per year of service (maximum 6 months), after 1 year of service. Call-in pay: Minimum of 4 hours at time and one-half or overtime worked, whichever is greater, for employees called back to work after having left plant after completion of shift, on designated day off or on stat- utory holiday, due to emergency or other reasons. Probationary period: 45 work- ing days. Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months. Severance: 10 days' pay for each year of service, maximum 52 weeks in event of permanent or partial closure. Safety shoes: $175 per year (previously $150 per year) for 1 or more pairs of CSA- approved safety boots that are ankle height or higher. Em- ployer will provide winter safety boots, rubber safety boots to employees where this personal protective equipment is neces- sary to perform work on regular basis. Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide, replace aprons (for grinding room employees, hard hats and liners, dust protection (disposable), eye protection, ear protection (disposable and non- disposable), gloves, bucking pants for the yard crew, leather aprons for graders. Employer will make coveralls available to employees handling resins and similar substances. Employer will provide coveralls to trades- men, oilers, small and large log- line operators. Tool allowance: Employer will supply metric or specialty tools required by tradesmen.
