(210 production workers, millwrights, machinists, welders, maintenance personnel, mechanics, electricians, carpenters) and the United Steel, Paper and Forestry, Rubber, Manufacturing, Energy, Allied Industrial and Service Workers Intl. Union (USW), Local 1-2010 Renewal agreement: Effective June 1, 2018 to May 31, 2023. Signed on June 1, 2018. Shift premium: $0.40 per hour for employees scheduled to rotate. Paid holidays: 9 days, plus Jan. 2. Additional 4 floating holidays per year for each employee who has accumulated 120 days of seniority. Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% to start, 3 weeks or 6% after 4 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 11 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 18 years, 6 weeks or 12% after 29 years. As premium, each employee will receive $100 for each week (previously $90 for each week) of vacation taken. Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums. $2,500 per year per person for preventive, basic care. 50% reimbursement for major restoration, orthodon- tics, maximum $2,000 lifetime. Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $275 every 24 months. Effective June 1, 2020: $300 every 24 months. Employer pays 100% of cover- age for eye exams. Weekly indemnity: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 70% of weekly earn- ings (40 hours times employee's regular rate), maximum $775 per week. LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums (compulsory for all employees who have ac- cumulated 45 days of seniority with employer) for coverage of 55% of monthly earnings, maximum $2,400 per month. Effective June 1 of each year of agreement: additional $50 per month. AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $105,000. Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $105,000. Pension: Employer will pay $135 per month for DC plan. Employer will also contribute additional $135 per month, if employee contributes $135 per month. Effective June 1, 2020: $140 per month. Effective June 1, 2022: $145 per month. Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in immediate family (mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother, sister, brother-in- law, sister-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchild, grandparents both sides, spouse, children, mother, father). Seniority – recall rights: 12 months (3 months for em- ployee who has accrued sen- iority and is then employed by employer in position beyond scope of agreement). Probationary period: 60 days of work. Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months. Severance: 1 1/2 week's pay for each year of employment (com- puted on basis of 40 straight- time hours at regular rate), maximum 45 weeks. Safety shoes: $165 per year (previous $160 per year). Effect- ive June 1 of each year of agree- ment: additional $5 per year. Uniforms/clothing: Employer will supply gloves (in different sizes) as required, rain suits, coveralls for all maintenance work, welding shields, aprons and safety glasses, where required. Employer will pay 1 day's wages (on first pay of December of each year) for clothing allowance. Tool allowance: Employer will provide free insurance coverage against loss by fire of tradesmen's tools to full value while on authorized company property or work sites. Em- ployer will pay maximum $575 per year as tool allowance to all tradespersons. Additional $10 per year for each year of agree- ment. Employer will replace any personal tools broken in service provided broken tools are returned. Employer will provide tools to tradesmen at cost. Employer will provide, on loan, any special tools including power-driven tools, testing and measuring instruments and gauges, pullers.
