3 Canadian HR Reporter, a HAB Press business 2019 Shift premium: $2 per hour when employee relieves super- visory position. $2 per hour for all hours worked as lead-hand. Paid holidays: 12 days. Vacations with pay: 10 days after 1 year, 15 days after 2 years, 20 days after 7 years, 25 days after 14 years, 30 days after 20 years. Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week for outside workers; 7 hours per day or 35 hours per week for office staff. May be banked, maximum 80 hours. May be taken as time off in lieu. Will be paid out by year end; however, 120 hours of banked overtime may be carried over for special circumstances. Medical benefits: Employer pays 75% of premiums, em- ployee pays 25% of premiums for Alberta Urban Municipality Association benefit plan. Dental: Employer pays 75% of premiums, employee pays 25% of premiums. Vision: $300 per year for pre- scription glasses, contact lenses. Sick leave: 2 days per month, maximum 120 days. LTD: Employer pays 75% of premiums, employee pays 25% of premiums. Pension: All permanent full- time employees will participate in Local Authorities Pension Plan. Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in immediate family (spouse, parents, sisters, sister- in-law, daughter-in-law, grand- children, children, stepparents, mother-in-law, brother-in-law, grandparents, stepchildren, brothers, father-in-law, son-in- law, stepgrandparents. 1 addi- tional day if employee travels outside of Alberta or more than 750 kilometres away. Leave without pay may be granted or employee may take vacation or sick leave with pay to attend fu- neral as pallbearer for 1 day. Seniority – recall rights: 12 months. Call-in pay: Paid at basic rate for all hours worked or 3 hours at time and one-half basic rate of pay, whichever is greater. Probationary period: 90 cal- endar days. Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months. Severance: 1 week after 3 months of service; 2 weeks after 2 years of service; 4 weeks after 4 years of service; 5 weeks after 6 years of service; 6 weeks after 8 years of service; 8 weeks after 10 years of service. Safety shoes: Employer will supply 2 pairs of work boots per year (summer and winter), maximum $250 for both. Uniforms/clothing: Employer will be responsible for supplying or reimbursing all personal safety equipment, except for prescrip- tion safety goggles. Employer will supply 1 pair of coveralls per year, maximum $100. Vacations with pay: 15 days or 120 hours to start, 20 days or 160 hours after 10 years. Overtime: Time and one- half for all hours worked after 160 hours over 4 consecutive work weeks. May be placed in renewable overtime bank, max- imum 16 straight-time hours (hours will be credited at rate at which it was earned). Any un- used banked time off in-lieu will be paid out to employee on last pay day in March of each year. Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums. After 90 days of service, all employees will participate in employer's community services benefits trust plan, which includes life insurance, AD&D, weekly in- demnity, LTD. Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Paramedical: $1,000 per year for massages. $750 per year for chiropractic services. $750 per year for psychologist/social- worker services.
