UFCW training, education fund: Employer will pay $525 per year to UFCW training and education fund for life of agreement 2 weeks after ratification and each subsequent year on Feb. 1. Milling-certified millwright: Employer will set up Buhler training for millwright mechanics. All costs will be paid by employer. Successful participants will receive $2-per-hour upgrade and be categorized as milling-certified millwright. Charity fund: Employer will deduct from earnings of each employee — upon written authorization from each employee — $0.50 per week to UFCW Charity Fund before 15th day of following month. LOGISTICS SERVICES Fort McKay Logistics Fort McMurray, Alta. (200 shipper/receivers, tech employees, coordinators, attendants, drivers, mail-room workers, dispatchers) and Teamsters, Local 362 Renewal agreement: Effective Oct. 1, 2018 to Sept. 30, 2022. Signed on Sept. 20, 2018. Shift premium: $2 per hour for all shifts between noon and 6 a.m. (not subject to overtime). Paid holidays: 11 days. Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 2 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 5 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 9 years, 6 weeks or 12% after 12 years. Overtime: Time and one-half for all work in excess of daily hours. Pension: Employer will con- tribute $4.50 per hour (previ- ously $4.40 per hour) to Team- sters Prairie Provinces Pension Plan. Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (spouse, mother, father, brother, sister, stepbrother, stepsister, son, daughter, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, grandmother, grandfather, spouses, grandpar- ents, grandchildren, stepmoth- er, stepfather, stepson, step- daughter, common-law spouse (provided common-law spouse is recorded with employer) plus any others referenced in Alberta Employment Standards Code). 2 additional days for out-of-town travel more than 200 kilometres. Seniority – recall rights: 12 months. Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours' at applicable rate of pay. If more than 4 hours are worked, em- ployee will be paid for all hours worked only. Employer will cover cost of transportation via taxicab (if required) to and from work place. Probationary period: 90 cal- endar days. Discipline: Sunset clause is 1 year. Further incidences where written reprimand or warning letter is deemed neces- sary, only preceding disciplin- ary actions within previous 6 months will compound and be taken into account in imple- menting further corrective action. Severance: 1 week's full pay — based on employee's pay at time of severance — for each year of service beginning with first year of service. 1 week's full pay for each year of service beginning after 12 months of employ- ment, maximum 10 weeks, if employer had to close down for lack of work or if employer lost contract. Employees on-call who work will be paid greater of hours actually worked or on-call payment. Hiring: As First Nation-owned business, employer reserves right (and union encourages employer) to give preferential hiring treatment to qualified candidates who are members of Fort McKay First Nation or persons of aboriginal ancestry and managers are to make selections having respect for this principle. Safety glasses: $300 every 2 years for prescription safety glasses. Travel costs: Employer will pay $20 per day travel to any employee who travels to Fort McKay Industrial Park. Pension: Employer will contribute $4.50 per hour to Teamsters Prairie Provinces Pension Plan.
