Pension: After 1 year of ser- vice, employer will make RRSP contribution of $1,200 per year; employee may match contribu- tion, maximum $2,400 per year. Employer will match employee contribution, maximum $2,400 per year. Bereavement leave: 4 days for death in immediate family (mother, father, sister, brother, stepfather, stepmother, stepsib- ling, foster-parent), grandpar- ent, grandchild, aunt, uncle, spouse, son, daughter, stepchild, ward of employee, mother-in- law, father-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, any relative resid- ing in employee's household). Seniority – recall rights: 12 months. Call-in pay: Greater of pay at applicable overtime rate for time worked, plus in addition to any overtime compensation, 2 hours of pay at straight time or pay equivalent to 4 hours of pay at straight-time rate. Probationary period: 450 straight-time hours worked or 6 months, whichever comes first. Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months. Severance: 1 week after 6 months of service; 3 weeks after 1 year; 4 weeks after 3 years; 5 weeks after 4 years; 6 weeks after 5 years. Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide all protective cloth- ing and equipment. Sample rates of pay (current, after 10% increase): Program assistant Level 1: $23.60 rising 5 steps to $25.97 Level 2: $24.31 rising 5 steps to $26.72 Level 3: $25.03 rising 5 steps to $27.48 Support worker Level 1: $21.37 rising 5 steps to $23.62 Level 2: $22.03 rising 5 steps to $24.31 Level 3: $22.67 rising 5 steps to $25 Editor's notes: Personal days: Each employee will receive credit of 10 days of personal leave per year. Employee may bank unused personal leave, maximum 20 days accumulated from year to year. Days beyond 20-day maximum not used at end of fiscal year will be forfeited. Pay for travel: When employee travels at request of employer, employee will be paid for actual travelling time (including airport check-in and check-out) as though employee was working, maximum 8 hours, at straight-time pay for day (inclusive of any straight-time hours paid to employee for hours worked on that day). Employer will provide employee with $50 per-diem allowance for meals and other incidental expenses. First aid: Employer will pay for safety first-aid courses to all employees required by employer to hold first-aid certificate, including annual refresher courses required to maintain valid certificate, at employer's expense. Employees taking first-aid training will be granted leave without loss of pay for duration of courses. Yukon bonus: Employees will receive $2,242 Yukon bonus on first anniversary of employment and on each anniversary date thereafter. AUTOMOTIVE COMPONENTS Aslon Management London, Ont. (145 assemblers, material handlers, technicians, team leaders) and Teamsters Canada, Local 879 Renewal agreement: Effective Aug. 1, 2018 to July 31, 2022. Signed on Jan. 17, 2019. Paid holidays: 9 days. Au- gust civic holiday is not paid holiday pursuant to collective agreement but employees who work on August civic holiday will be paid 1.5 times regular hourly rate for all hours worked (does not apply to time spent commencing on midnight shift for Tuesday on Monday night). Employees will be paid time and one-half for working on Family Day. Christmas Eve lieu day will be moved to Easter Monday. Vacations with pay: 4% to start, 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 5 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 10 years. Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 42 hours per week. May be banked and taken as time off in lieu, max- imum 40 hours in bank. Must be taken by end of year or will be paid out. Medical benefits: Employ- er pays 100% of premiums ($273.07 plus RST (retail sales tax) per employee per month) for Teamsters, Local 879 Health and Welfare Plan (pre- viously $265.07 plus RST per employee per month). Effective Aug. 1, 2019: $281.07 plus RST per employee per month. Effective Aug. 1, 2020: $291.07 plus RST per employee per month. Effective Aug. 1, 2021: $301.07 plus RST per employee per month. Pension: Employer will pay $0.25 per compensated hour per employee as contribution to Teamsters, Hamilton and Vicinity Ready-Mix Producers Pension Plan Trust Fund. Bereavement leave: 3 days for death of father, mother, spouse, common-in-law spouse, same- sex partner (as defined by law), child, stepchild, brother, sister, grandchild, mother- in-law, father-in-law. Should more time be required, unpaid leave will not be unreasonably withheld. 1 day for death of grandparent, brother-in-law, sister-in-law. Seniority – recall rights: 18 consecutive months for layoff; 2 years if employee is continuously on medical leave of absence. Call-in pay: Minimum of 4 hours' pay at regular straight- time hourly rate or time and one-half for all hours worked, whichever is greater. Probationary period: 90 actual days worked. Safety shoes: $115 per year (previously $100 per year) for CSA-approved safety boots/ shoes. Effective 2020: $120 per year. Effective 2021: $125 per year. Effective 2022: $130 per year. Uniforms/clothing: All em- ployees will be supplied with all required personal protective equipment. Sample rates of hourly pay (current, after $1.25-per-hour increase): Assembler: $16.50 rising 3 steps to $17.75 Material handler: $17 rising 3 steps to $18.25 Quality technician: $17.50 rising 3 steps to $18.75 Team leader: $17.50 rising 3 steps to $18.75 Material team leader: $17.50 rising 3 steps to $18.75 Upon ratification: $800 lump sum ($250 for probationary) Editor's notes: Supplemental staffing: Supplemental staff will be utilized through employment agencies for legitimate business needs and employer will pay union $250 monthly fee for right to utilize supplemental staff. Industrial advancement fund: Employer will pay $0.01 per hour for all hours for each employee, maximum 40 hours per week, for all full-time employees in bargaining unit to local industrial advancement fund.
