Severance: 2 weeks' pay on first layoff, in first year of ser- vice; 3 weeks' pay after 10 years of service; 4 weeks' pay after 20 years of service, plus 1 week's pay for each additional year of service, maximum 28 weeks. 1 week's pay per year of service for second layoff, maximum 27 weeks. Safety shoes: $150 per year or $300 every 2 years (previ- ously $225 every 2 years) for CSA-approved safety footwear. Employer will provide 1 pair of CSA-approved rubber boots. Uniforms/clothing: $550 plus applicable taxes (previously $500) to deckhands for work clothing purchased. Employ- er will provide 1 Transport Canada-approved flotation coat (flame orange or red) or inflatable PFD every 2 years. Employer will provide 1 set of rain-gear (high visibility as defined by ANSI (American National Standards Institute) or equivalent). Employer will pro- vide CSA-approved safety sun- glasses. Employer will provide one pair of thermal coveralls, if required. $380, plus applicable taxes (previously $350) for dis- patchers to purchase wearing apparel. Loss of clothing or personal effects: Maximum $850 (previously $750) when employee suffers loss of clothing or personal effects because of marine disaster, shipwreck, or work-related incident. Social justice fund: Employer will make 1-time payment of $325 (previously $300) to PSAC Social Justice Fund. Fitness: Employer will pay 50% of cost for fitness membership to recognized fitness, recreation, sports club, maximum $325 per year. EMPLOYEE TRANSPORT Diversified Transportation Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, Alberta (530 drivers) and Teamsters, Local 362 Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2019 to Dec. 31, 2022. Signed on Feb. 22, 2019. Shift premium: 50% premium on trip rate for all trips on Remembrance Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day. 1-hour regular premium per trip for lead-hands. Time and one-half for any regular drivers forced to work on day off. Paid holidays: 11 days. Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% to start, 3 weeks or 6% after 3 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 5 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 8 years, 6 weeks or 12% after 18 years. Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week. May be banked, maximum 120 hours per year. Unused banked time will be paid out on next payroll following end of year. Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums (previ- ously employer pays 90% of premiums, employee pays 10% of premiums) for Prairie Team- sters Health and Welfare Plan. Pension: All regular drivers will be entitled to Teamsters Prairie Provinces Pension Plan. Bereavement leave: 4 days for death in immediate family (spouse, common-law spouse, stepmother, stepfather, mother, father, guardian, sons, daugh- ters, stepchild, brothers, sisters, grandparent, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandchildren, any other immediate family member recognized under Canadian Labour Code). For death of family member not covered above, employee can make representation for leave outlining reasons why it should be granted. Seniority – recall rights: 12 or more consecutive months. Probationary period: 120 cal- endar days of employment (on completion of 60 days of required days of probationary employment, employees will be entitled to all rights, privileges of agreement). Discipline: Sunset clause is 6 months for operational is- sues; 24 months for preventable accidents, infractions covered under Highway Traffic Act, at-fault incidents of discrimina- tion or harassment. Safety shoes: $150 per year (deducted from $300 uniform allowance). Uniforms/clothing: Employer will supply regular drivers with 1 jacket, 2 ties, 3 pairs of pants, 3 shirts, 1 uniform cap. As well, employer will provide $300 per- year uniform allowance to be used for any approved uniform item (unspent portion will be carried over). Sample rates of per-trip pay (current, after 7.5% increase): Syncrude/Suncor coach 3-hour trip rate: $105.96 rising 4 steps to $113.90 Albian/Aurora coach 4-hour trip rate: $141.29 rising 4 steps to $151.88 Sample rates of per-trip pay (current): 3-hour trip Y3: $93.07 Sample rates of hourly pay (current, after 7.5% increase): Hourly coach rate: $29.71 rising 4 steps to $31.93 Regular drivers: $31.22 rising 4 steps to $33.55 Probationary drivers: $26.33 rising 4 steps to $28.29 Coach: $34 rising 4 steps to $33.91 Non-coach: $28.25 rising 4 steps to $30.67 Sample rates of hourly pay (current): Hourly Y1: $30.55 (Employer will pay higher of rates noted above or Alberta Consumer Price Index (CPI) annual average index, as pub- lished by Statistics Canada) Editor's notes: Plug-ins: Between November and March, employer will supply adequate plug-ins for charter drivers. Mandatory education: Employer will pay for compulsory courses at regular hourly rate (PDIC (Professional Driver Improvement Course), once every 2 years). Leave of absence: Employees with 25 years of service will be entitled to 90 consecutive days leave of absence per year. Industry fund: Employer will deduct from each driver's pay, $0.05 for every hour on which wages are payable to that driver, into Teamsters, Local Union 362 Advancement Fund. Local-living allowance: $1,000 per month (for employees hired after Jan. 1, 2021: $800 per month) to offset living expenses of maintaining residence in Fort McMurray area in Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo for all full-time employees.
