(80 drivers) and Teamsters Canada, Local 879 Renewal agreement: Effective July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2024. Signed on Jan. 17, 2019. Shift premium: Time and one-half for all work between midnight Friday and noon Sat- urday. Double time for all work between noon Saturday and 7 p.m. Sunday. $1 per hour for lead-hands. Paid holidays: 11 days. Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 5 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 10 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 15 years, 6 weeks or 12% after 23 years. Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 9 hours per day or 44 hours per week for employees in maintenance de- partment. Drivers employed on runs greater than 150 miles, will receive, in lieu of overtime, bo- nus per day ($69.12, (previously $66.78) increasing each anni- versary year by $1) for complete shifts worked between mid- night Friday and 7 p.m. Sunday or 7 p.m. on statutory general holiday. Pension: Employer will deduct $2.15 per hour for establishing personal retirement pension, but payment is at sole discre- tion and responsibility of em- ployee to do so. Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (father, mother, spouse, chil- dren, stepchildren, grandchild, brother, sister, mother-in-law, father-in-law). 1 day for death of grandparent, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, stepbrother, stepsister, stepparents. Seniority – recall rights: 12 months. Probationary period: 90 cal- endar days. Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years; 10 years for reports on accidents involving moving vehicles. Safety shoes: $150 per year (previously $130 per year), with $10 increase each contract-year anniversary. Uniforms/clothing: Employer will supply 5 pairs of summer gloves, 5 pairs of winter gloves to employees as required. Shop employees will be supplied, and have cleaned, 5 pairs of coveralls per week (1 per day) at employer's expense. 1 winter parka every 2 years will be sup- plied to maintenance employ- ees. Raincoats will be available in shop for use by maintenance employees. Tool allowance: $225 per year (previously $200 per year) for mechanics. Sample rates of hourly pay (current, after $5-per-hour increase): Drivers: $24.85 rising 5 steps to $29.85 Truck and coach 310T: $29.10 rising 5 steps to $34.10 Sample rates of per-mile pay (current, after 20% increase): Drivers (runs greater than 150 miles): $0.544 rising 5 steps to $0.653 Editor's notes: Medical examinations: Any medical examination requested by employer will be promptly complied with, provided employer will pay for all examinations. If required to submit to mandatory drug testing, 100% of cost will be paid for by employer for both U.S. Department of Transportation and domestic pools. Layovers: $30 per day (previously $25 per day), increasing each anniversary year by $5, if company supplies tractor units with sleeper berths. COMPONENT MANUFACTURING Edmonton Exchanger Edmonton (116 production, maintenance employees) and the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, Iron Ship Builders, Blacksmith, Forgers and Helpers, Local 146 Renewal agreement: Effect- ive Oct. 1, 2018 to Sept. 30, 2021. Ratified on April 8, 2019. Signed on April 12, 2019. Shift premium: 6 hours of pay for welders, who served apprenticeship with employer, after taking initial B-pressure test (after successfully com- pleting qualification test, any B-pressure welder who is new to employer will be paid for test time, maximum 4 hours). $1.75 per hour for work on afternoon shift. Employee will work 7 hours but receive pay for 8 hours plus $1.50 per hour for work on midnight shift. Paid holidays: 11 days. Day before Christmas Day and day before New Year's Day, will be day off without pay but it may be worked by mutual consent. Vacations with pay: 10 days or 4% to start, 15 days or 6% after 13 months, 15 days or 8% after 61 months, 20 days or 10% after 121 months, 25 days or 10% after 181 months. It will be mandatory for all employees to take vacation after 1 year of employment. Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week; double time after 2 hours of overtime. Time and one-half for all work on Saturday. Meal allowance: Hot meal will be provided after 2 hours of overtime and every 4 hours thereafter. $20 may be paid in lieu of hot meal. Medical benefits: Boiler- makers' National Benefit Plans (Canada) - ISO (Industrial Sector Operations) Division (after 90 days of employment). Employer pays 100% of pre- miums for Alberta Health Care coverage. Pension: After 90 days of ser- vice, employer will contribute to RRSP designated by employ- ee. Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (mother, father, sister, brother, daughter, son, wife, husband, common-law spouse, mother- in-law, father-in-law, son-in- law, daughter-in-law, steppar- ents). Seniority – recall rights: 1 month for each year of employ- ment; 1 year for absence due to sickness that is covered under medical certificate or accident recognized by Workers' Com- pensation Board (WCB). Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours' paid at double time. Probationary period: 90 days. Uniforms/clothing: Employ- er will provide coveralls on exchange basis, or exchange service for coveralls on weekly basis at no cost to employees. Employer will provide $250 for winter apparel when employee work outsides (plateland, out- side cutting, shipping, outside head press) for 2 consecutive weeks between Oct. 15 and March 15. Winter coats, gloves will be provided to employees who work outside. Sample rates of hourly pay (current): Foreman: $46.77 Lead-hand: $44.90 B welder: $43.58 Journeyman welder/journey- man burner/journeyman fitter: $39.35 Vessel-layout fitter: $43.58
