LTD: Coverage of $1,200 per month (previously $1,100 per month) after 52 weeks off job. AD&D: Minimum coverage of $40,000 (previously $30,000). Life insurance: Minimum coverage of $40,000 (previously $30,000). Pension: Employer will con- tribute $2.25 per hour to Team- sters Prairie Provinces Pension Plan (T4P). Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (spouse, mother, father, step- mother, stepfather, grandpar- ents, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, mother-in-law, father- in-law, grandchildren). 1 day for death of sisters-in-law, broth- ers-in-law. Seniority – recall rights: 12 months, after employee has 6 months of seniority. Probationary period: 90 cal- endar days of employment. Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months for accidents; 12 months for all other viola- tions. Safety shoes: $125 per year for drivers, yard, shop employees for safety footwear. Footwear for shop employees will be steel-toed; footwear for yard, driver employees must be steel- toed with defined heel and soles. Uniforms/clothing: Yard, shop employees will be provided with 5 sets of acid-resistant coveralls to ensure reasonable degree of cleanliness. Drivers will be provided with maximum 2 pairs of new coveralls or 1 pair of insulated coveralls per year if requested. Employer will pro- vide 10 pairs of leather gloves, 4 pairs of rubber gloves with inserts (or any combination) per year. Tool allowance: Mechanics' tools will be replaced on ex- change basis after being dam- aged or broken at work. Em- ployer will provide insurance coverage for loss of mechanics' tools taken from employer's premises. Premiums will be paid by company and claims paid to mechanic for loss of tools. Coverage will also be pro- vided for loss due to fire. $600 per year for shop employees to upgrade tools. Sample rates of hourly pay (current): Highway drivers: $23.18 City drivers: $23.18 Sample rates of hourly pay (current, after increase): Yard personnel: $22.08 rising 2 steps to $22.41 Mechanics/Alberta: $38.97 rising 2 steps to $39.55 Welders/Alberta: $36.97 rising 2 steps to $37.52 Shop lead-hand: $39.47 rising 2 steps to $40.06 Utility/washers/drive-away personnel: $19.01 rising 2 steps to $19.30 Mechanics/Manitoba: $32.84 rising 2 steps to $37.39 Welders/Manitoba: $30.84 rising 2 steps to $35.36 Mechanic apprentices First year: 60% of journeyman's rate Second year: 70% of journey- man's rate Third year: 80% of journey- man's rate Fourth year: 90% of journey- man's rate Drive-away personnel 0 to 12 months: 80% full-time rate After 12 months to 24 months: 90% full-time rate After 24 months: full-time rate Sample rates of mileage pay (current, after increase): Highway drivers: $0.6433 rising 4 steps to $0.6529 Sleeper team: $0.7303 rising 2 steps to $0.7413 Sample rates of per-trip pay (current, after increase): Loading or unloading: $4.23 rising 2 steps to $4.29 Flat deck: $5.39 rising 2 steps to $5.47 Premium stops: $8.58 rising 2 steps to $8.71 Subsistence first 24 hours: $39.02 rising 2 steps to $39.61 Subsistence hourly: $1.63 rising 2 steps to $1.65 Pick-out rate per unit: $1.07 rising 2 steps to $1.09 Backhaul-unit rate: $20 rising 2 steps to $20.30 Editor's notes: Medical examinations: When driver is required under motor vehicle regulations to undertake physical examination as condition of continuing to hold valid driver's license, employer will pay full cost of examination. Employer will provide 2 hours' pay for drivers taking medical examinations, during non-working hours. Wait time: For all time waiting to load or unload, waiting for equipment to be repaired, waiting for roads to be cleared and where there are public facilities and conditions available (restaurants, coffee shops, motels) to make it possible that driver does not have to remain in equipment, driver will be paid maximum 10 hours' pay for each 24- hour waiting period. If driver is required to lay over in order to reset log book, driver will be paid 10 hours at regular rate. All drivers will be paid maximum 15 minutes when fuelling at recognized cardlock stop. When required to fuel at company terminal, drivers will be paid $3.54. EMPLOYEE BENEFITS Green Shield Canada Windsor, Ont. (550 office, clerical employees) and Unifor, Locals 240, 673 Renewal agreement: Effective March 1, 2018 to Feb. 28, 2021. Signed on Feb. 28, 2018. Wage adjustments: Effective March 1, 2018: $0.25 per hour Effective March 1, 2019: $0.25 per hour Effective March 1, 2020: $0.25 per hour Shift premium: 5% for all hours worked past 4:30 p.m. for employees on afternoon shift or scheduled to work past 4:30 p.m. 10% for all hours worked before 8:30 a.m. for employees on third shift or scheduled to work past 8:30 a.m. One-half time premium for all employ- ees who start work prior to regular scheduled start time to do required work for systems release. $2 per hour for lead quality assurance tester. $3 per hour for lead senior software developer. Paid holidays: 7 days, plus Christmas shutdown (Dec. 24 to Jan. 1), plus Heritage Day and 2 personal paid holidays and employee's birthday. Vacations with pay: Pro-rated to start (1 to 10 days), 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 3 years, 4 weeks after 7 years, 5 weeks after 13 years, 6 weeks after 24 years, 7 weeks after 35 years. Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after regular sched- uled hours. Double time for all work on Sundays. Time may be banked, maximum 5 days, and will be paid out if not taken.
