Signed on May 10, 2019. Shift premium: $6.25 per hour more than prevailing rate for journeyperson millwrights for forepersons. $3.15 per hour more than prevailing rate for journeyperson millwrights for sub-forepersons. 15% for em- ployees on afternoon and night shifts. Paid holidays: 9 days, 4% statu- tory holiday pay to be paid out November of each year. Vacations with pay: 2 weeks to start, plus 6% vacation pay to be paid out in June of each year. Overtime: Double time for all work after regular day shift. Double time for all work be- tween 12:01 a.m. on Saturday and 12:01 a.m. on Monday. Dou- ble time for all work on statutory holiday. Maximum 7 hours of overtime per 24-hour period. Meal allowance: When employ- ee is called in to work over and above regular shift, employee will be supplied 1 hot meal for every 4 hours at employer's ex- pense. $20 and 20-minute break with pay will also be allowed in jurisdictional areas covered by Local, 1151, Thunder Bay and Local, 1425, Sudbury, in lieu of hot-meal provision, when agreed to between employer and major- ity of employees Medical benefits: Employer will contribute $4.20 per hour for each hour; $8.40 per hour for all overtime hours to Mill- wright Regional Council of Ontario benefit trust fund for millwright welfare plan and le- gal assistance plan. Pension: Each employer will contribute to Millwright Regional Council of Ontario benefit trust fund for millwright pension plan: $7.87 per hour for each hour earned by each employee ($15.74 per hour for all overtime hours). Effective May 1, 2020: $8.05 per hour for each hour earned by each employee ($16.10 per hour for all overtime hours). Effective April 30, 2021: $8.20 per hour for each hour earned by each employee ($16.40 per hour for all overtime hours). Uniforms/clothing: When raincoats, safety rubber boots, welders' standard mitts and leathers, welding shields, gloves, other special wearing apparel are required, they will be supplied for employees with- out cost. Employer will supply leather-palm gloves, fabric coveralls on jobs of dirty nature or on jobs where acid or other chemicals damage clothing. Tool allowance: Employer will maintain insurance to cover employee's tools and clothing while on job site, against loss or damage by fire or theft by forc- ible entry, maximum $1,750 per employee. Mileage: Per-day allowance for employees who commute to jobs: $13.58 rising 2 steps to $14.13 (previously $13.31) for jobs 24.1 to 32 kilometres away; $15.81 rising 2 steps to $16.45 (previously $15.50) for jobs 32.1 to 40 kilometres away; $27.89 rising 2 steps to $29.02 (previ- ously $27.34) for jobs 40.1 to 80 kilometres away. Sample rates of hourly pay (current, after $2-per-hour increase): Millwrights (minimum basic rate of wages): $42.02 rising 2 steps to $44.02 Forepersons: $48.27 rising 2 steps to $50.27 Sub-forepersons: $45.17 rising 2 steps to $47.17 Sample rates of hourly pay (current, after 4.8% increase): Apprentices (percentage of minimum basic rate for jour- neyperson millwrights) From 0 to 1,999 hours 60% May 26, 2019: $25.21 May 1, 2020: $25.81 April 30, 2021: $26.41 From 2,000 to 3,999 hours 70% May 26, 2019: $29.41 May 1, 2020: $30.11 April 30, 2021: $30.81 From 4,000 to 5,999 hours 80% May 26, 2019: $33.62 May 1, 2020: $34.42 April 30, 2021: $35.22 From 6,000 to 8,000 hours 90% May 26, 2019: $37.82 May 1, 2020: $38.72 April 30, 2021: $39.62 Editor's notes: Travel mileage: $0.58 per kilometre (and cost of meals where applicable).
