Promotion recognition award: $5,000 for eligible faculty members who are promoted to associate or professor; $4,000 for eligible librarian members who are promoted to librarian 3 or 4. Tuition scholarship: Employer will provide $200,000 per year to association for administration of tuition scholarship program for members and members whose dependants are taking degree credit courses at University of Victoria. Revenue sharing upon commercialization: If employee retains ownership of intellectual property (IP) and does not request assistance of university in commercializing IP, then if net financial benefit for any individual employee is greater than $10,000 in any given year (previously $5,000 in any given year), employee will receive 80%, employer will receive 20% of any amount above $10,000; 50% for employee, employer if IP protection is sought and employer assists employee in commercialization. Indigenous recruitment support fund: Employer will provide $ 355,016 on July 1, 2020; $ 362,987 on July 1, 2021, to increasing number of Indigenous faculty and students at UVic by developing recruitment strategies and programs. Wage adjustments: Effective Oct. 18, 2019: 2.5% Effective March 1, 2020: 2.75% Shift premium: $1.73 per hour for production day-shift dif- ferential. $3.47 per hour for production and maintenance night-shift differential. $2,000 per year (paid in equal incre- ments throughout year) for steam-ticket premium for employees who possess valid first- or second-class steam ticket; $300 per year for third- class ticket. 10% above base pay for all hours assigned when employer has identified special assignment is eligible for work- up. Paid holidays: 11 days, plus floater day as agreed by com- pany and union. Banked statu- tory holidays, including the floater holiday, cannot be car- ried into next year and balances as of Dec. 31 will be paid out at 1-times employee's hourly rate of pay in which statutory holi- day was earned. Vacations with pay: 120 hours to start, 160 hours after 10 years, 200 hours after 18 years, 240 hours after 25 years. Overtime: Time may be banked, maximum 60 hours per year. Time cannot be carried over into next year and balance of hours worked will be paid out at applicable overtime rates. Meal allowance: Employee working more than 2 hours past regular scheduled work- ing hours will receive meal provided by employer. During turnarounds, 1 meal will be provided per shift to employees working on scheduled day off. Seniority – recall rights: 60 days for employee who is promoted or transferred to permanent salaried position; 12 months for layoffs. Call-in pay: 3 hours at over- time rate or overtime pay for total hours worked, whichever is greater. Time eligible for call- in pay begins after arrival at jobsite. Probationary period: First 6 months of continuous employ- ment. Severance: 2 weeks' pay plus 2 weeks' pay per year of service multiplied by 1.30.
