Wage adjustments: Effective Jan. 1, 2019: 2.5% Effective Jan. 1, 2020: 2.2% Effective Jan. 1, 2021: 1.985% Effective Jan. 1, 2022: 1.55% Shift premium: $1,000 per year, for employees defined as first-class constables or higher ranks and are assigned to districts 1, 2, or 3 in uniform capacity and assigned to working 12-hour shifts (that change from 1 shift to another on regular basis). $275 per year (previously $350 per year), for employees who work rotating shifts (that change from 1 shift to another on regular basis). Additional 1-half of differen- tial between current salary of first- class constable and current salary of first-class sergeant for uniform constable assigned to criminal in- vestigation division. $4 per day (pre- viously $3.65 per day) for uniform constable who has been designated as detective constable. $1,300 per year (previously $1,200 per year) for members of canine unit (upon retirement of service animal, its handler will receive $800 per year as compensation for care of animal). Paid holidays: 12 days, plus 1 unnamed day. Employee may ex- ercise option and take 6 days off as designated holidays with pay; 6 days pay in addition to normal pay, which will be paid on first pay in December. Vacations with pay: 8 hours per month, maximum 80 hours, to start, 80 hours after 1 year, 120 hours after 3 years, 160 hours after 10 years, 200 hours after 15 years, 240 hours after 20 years, 248 hours after 26 years, 256 hours after 27 years, 264 hours after 28 years, 272 hours after 27 years, 280 hours after 30 years. Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after regular hours. Time may be banked, maximum 60 hours in total. Time must be used by Nov. 30 or it will be paid out. When employee retires consistent with terms of OMERS, regardless of date of retirement, employee will receive full vacation entitle- ment for calendar year in which employee retires. Meal allowance: $10 for break- fast, $15 for lunch, $25 for dinner after 3 hours beyond tour of duty, and for each 4 hours of duty there- after. Medical benefits: Employer will provide $225 per member per year (previously $175 per mem- ber per year) for active members health-care spending account. Vision: $450 per 24-month peri- od (previously $400 per 24-month period). Paramedical: $90 per visit (pre- viously $80 per visit), maximum $900 per year (previously $800 per year) for physiotherapist, massage therapist, chiropractor. Maxi- mum $250 per year for alternative medicine (osteopath, chiropodist, podiatrist naturopath, acupunc- ture). Sick leave: 15 weeks with full pay, for employee who suffers bona fide illness or accident (non- compensable) of employee who has been employed for at least 3 months; 20 weeks after 5 years of Paramedical: $90 per visit, maximum $900 per year for physiotherapist, massage therapist, chiropractor.
