Paid holidays: 11 days. Vacations with pay: 116.25 hours or 3 weeks to start, 155 hours or 4 weeks after 5 years, 193.75 hours or 5 weeks after 20 years. Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 7.5 hours per day or 75 hours per 2-week pe- riod. Time and one-half for all work on assigned day off or for all hours exceeding 6 consecu- tive days without day off. May be taken as time off in lieu but must be taken by Dec. 31 or will be paid out. Medical benefits: Employer pays 65% of premiums, em- ployee pays 35% of premiums (previously employer pays 60% of premiums, employee pays 40% of premiums). Des- jardins group benefit plan, or equivalent, which provides 80% direct-payment provision for physician or dentist prescribed medications. Desjardins group benefit plan, or equivalent, which pro- vides for reimbursement of 80% of eligible basic services, 50% of eligible extensive services (maximum $1,500 per year), 50% of eligible orthodontic services (lifetime maximum $1,500). Employee may also be granted maximum 1 leave of absence without pay, after death of im- mediate family member. Seniority – recall rights: 12 months after layoffs. Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours of pay at straight-time rates or actual hours worked at double time regular rate of pay, which- ever is greater. Probationary period: 520 hours or 6 months, whichever is shorter. May be extended, maximum 3 months worked. Discipline: Sunset clause is 15 months. Mileage: $0.44 per kilometre when employee uses personal vehicle in performance of du- ties. Minimum 3 hours' pay to attend meetings during off-duty time. Employees on 24- hour shift can work maximum of 36 consecutive hours and have 24 hours off before return- ing.
