worked for employees tempo- rarily assigned to higher clas- sification for 1 hour or more. $0.50 per hour will be paid to senior employees in classifica- tion who perform training on designated shifts (provided to newly hired employees or em- ployees who transfer depart- ments). Paid holidays: 12 days. Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 15 days or 6% after 4 years, 20 days or 8% after 9 years, 25 days or 10% after 17 years, 30 days or 12% after 20 years. Employee who has completed full time employment for 25 years will receive 1-time only additional 5 days vacation in recogni- tion of service and dedication. Time must be used within 18 months or unused time will be paid out on first pay period following 18 months. Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per day; 5 days per 7-day period; 40 hours in any 5-day period. Double time for all work after 12 hours per day. Medical benefits: For em- ployees hired before April 9, 1986, employer pays 100% of premiums; for employees hired after April 9, 1986, em- ployer pays 55% of premiums, employee pays 45% of premi- ums. Dental: Employer pays 55% of premiums, employee pays 45% of premiums. 80% reimburse- ment, maximum $1,500 per year. Vision: Employer pays 55% of premiums, employee pays 45% of premiums. $150 every 2 years. Sick leave: 6 days per year af- ter 1 year of service; 9 days per year after 2 years of service. Employees who do not use any of sick days during year will be paid out for 50% of sick days at end of each year. Pension: After 5 years of service, employer will match employee contributions into RRSP, maximum $250 per year. Effective 2021: $275 per year. Effective 2022: $300 per year. Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate fam- ily (death of father, mother, spouse, common law part- ner, child, brother, sister, father-in-law, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, grandchildren, stepchildren, stepparents, grandparents, grandparents-in-law). Probationary period: 60 cal- endar days. Discipline: Sunset clause is 6 months for warnings, suspen- sions. Safety shoes: $75 per pair, maximum 1 pair on anniver- sary date, for CSA-approved non-slip safety footwear for employees working full time on cooking line in La Ronde and main kitchen, steward- ing, purchasing departments. $150 per pair, maximum 1 pair on anniversary date, for CSA- approved safety boots and 1 size large and medium winter coveralls for those employees in maintenance department and union purchasing. Uniforms/clothing: Employ- ees who are entitled to wear uniforms or special apparel during working hours, will have uniforms or special ap- parel supplied, laundered, kept in proper repair by employer free of any charge. Bellman, in-room dining white shirts will be part of uniform and will be supplied and laundered by employer. Tool allowance: Employer will consider replacing employees tools when tool is broken while performing work on behalf of hotel; when tool, used pre- dominately in service of hotel, becomes worn out.
