Paid holidays: 10 days, plus Indigenous Day, Rendezvous Friday. Vacations with pay: 3 weeks or 6% to start, 4 weeks or 8% after 5 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 10 years. Overtime: Time and one-half for work after 8 or 10 hours per day; double time after 4 hours of overtime. Time and one-half for work on employee's desig- nated day of rest; double time after 8 or 10 hours of work. Meal allowance: One-half hour paid time, to eat meal, after 2 hours of overtime (15 minutes with less than 2 hours of overtime). Vision: $500 once every 2 years for each employee, de- pendant. Paramedical: $500 by any one type of practitioner per year for chiropractor, osteopath, podiatrist, naturopath. LTD: Coverage of $1,750 per month, exclusive of CPP ben- efits. AD&D: Coverage of $45,000. Life insurance: Coverage of $45,000. Pension: Participation in em- ployee's pension plan is man- datory after 1 year of service. Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in immediate fam- ily (spouse, common-law spouse, mother, father, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, mother-in-law, father-in-law, employee's grandparents, legal guardian). 2 additional days when memorial is held outside Yukon. Seniority – recall rights: 3 months to start; 6 months after 12 months of service; 12 months after 24 months of ser- vice. 120 calendar days when employee within bargaining unit accepts position with em- ployer that is excluded from bargaining unit. 1 year for em- ployee who has been elected or appointed to work for local union. Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours (but after completion of duty called in for, employee may elect to book off with minimum of 2 hours of pay). Hours paid will be at overtime rates. Probationary period: 90 days; 45 days for new station atten- dants. Severance: 1 week of pay per year of service, after 2 years of service. Safety shoes: $300 per year (previously $200 per year) for employees who are required by workers' compensation to wear steel-toed work boots. Uniforms/clothing: Em- ployer will supply proper wet-weather apparel in wet weather or mud conditions. Employee will be provided, where required, with cover- alls, rubber or leather aprons, smocks, gloves, rubber boots, hard hats, safety glasses, breathing respirators, ear pro- tectors when physically han- dling substantial quantities of bulk petroleum products. Employer will provide 1 sum- mer jacket, 1 winter jacket to employees who distribute and handle petroleum products, which will be worn during all working hours. All clothing will be replaced on as-needed basis but not more than once per year. Maintenance shop employees, petroleum plant operators, local delivery driv- ers will be provided with 2 pairs of regular coveralls; 1 pair of winter coveralls (cloth- ing will be cleaned weekly and cost will be borne by em- ployer). Tool allowance: $0.65 per hour of regular time (previ- ously $1,500 per year) for jour- ney transport technicians, me- chanical foremen, mechanics. Standby: Each local delivery driver will be scheduled on 1-week rotations (scheduled Monday through Sunday) for call-in and standby duty. All call-ins will be paid at double time, with guaranteed 4-hour call-in. When regular schedule for local delivery drivers is Monday through Friday, standby duty will be on Saturdays, Sundays, statutory holidays. Standby pay will be at regular rate for 2 hours for each week rotation in addition to call-in overtime rates. Employer will provide company cellphone and charger to driver on call-in or standby duty. Personal time off: Employees will accumu- late one-half day (4 hours) per month paid personal time off. Employees will hold minimum 48 hours in credit bank. At end of each year, employee will be entitled to redeem personal time off in excess of 48 hours by cash or time off. Travel allowance: $2,100 per year, after 90 days of service. Additional $150 per year for employees residing in Watson Lake or Dawson City (in recognition of extra travel to Whitehorse for flights).
