COLLECTIVE AGREEMENTS COLLECTIVE AGREEMENTS with reasonable notice may request time off for vacation. Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after regular hours Monday through Sunday. Time and one-half for all work after 44 hours per week or 88 hours every 2 weeks when CWW (compressed work week) ar- rangement is implemented. May be taken as straight-time rate pay, with remainder as time off or fully banked and taken as time off (must be used with 6 months of end of pay pe- riod in which they earned it). Medical benefits: Employer will contribute $2 per hour into Electrical Industry Insurance Benefit Trust Fund of Alberta. Pension: Employer will con- tribute 5% of basic hourly wages to RRSP plan registered in employee's name. Probationary period: 3 months from date of hire. Safety shoes: Employees will report for work equipped with safety boots (CSA-approved, grade 1 (green triangle), in good condition, at least 6 inch- es high from sole of boot). Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide safety glasses and flash glasses (non-prescrip- tion); hearing protection; respi- rator; hard hat; voltage detec- tor/sniffer; appropriate work gloves. Employer will provide adequately fitting protective clothing where acids, chemi- cals, grease, dust, fibers prevail. Fire retardant coveralls will be provided where required Tool allowance: Employer will supply all power tools, instru- ments, other tools, including appropriate toolboxes for stor- age of such tools. Double time for emergency work per- formed on Sundays or govern- ment holidays. Overtime kicks in for foremen, bricklayer's assistants, forklift drivers, and respective apprentices after 9.5 and 8.5 hours, respectively. Work may be performed on Saturday at employee's regular rate if employee worked fewer than hours in regular work week during previous 5 days. Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for LiUNA Local 183 Members' Benefit Trust Fund. Pension: Employer pays 100% of premiums for Labourers' Pension Fund of Central and Eastern Canada/Bricklayers, Masons Independent Union of Canada, Local 1 Pension Trust Fund. Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours' pay if employee reports for work and no work is available. Safety shoes: Every employee will, as condition of employ- ment, own and wear suitable protective footwear and other personal protective equipment required in normal course of duties, as may be approved by Canadian Standards Associa- tion. Uniforms/clothing: Every em- ployee will, as condition of em- ployment, be required to wear safety helmet of type approved by Canadian Standards Asso- ciation. Employer will provide fall-arrest harnesses, shock- absorbing lanyards, retractable lanyards to all employees who require them; will replace them if they are not in good repair.
