Shift premium: $5 per hour (previously $1 per hour) for lead-hands. $0.20 per hour for all regularly assigned work between noon and 7:59 p.m. $0.30 per hour for all regularly assigned work between 8 p.m. and 3:59 a.m. Paid holidays: 9 days, plus em- ployee's birthday and 1 floater day Vacations with pay: 1 hour for every 25 hours worked, maximum 80 hours, or 4% after 1 year, 1 hour for every 16.67 hours worked, maximum 120 hours, or 6% after 5 years, 1 hour for every 12.5 hours worked, maximum 160 hours, or 8% after 10 years, 1 hour for every 10 hours worked, maxi- mum 200 hours, or 10% after 19 years, 1 hour for every 8 hours worked, maximum 240 hours, or 10% after 28 years. Overtime: Paid at time and one-half for all work after 8 hours in 1 day or 40 hours in 1 week. Time and one-half for all work on Saturday or Sunday. Time may be banked with no maximum cap. Hours may be taken as lieu time or paid out at later date. Lieu time maximum is 40 overtime hours. Banked hours will be paid out by last pay of year. Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums for 80%, 20% co-pay plan which includes checkups, cleaning, fillings, extractions, X-rays, root canals, periodon- tal, endodontic services, maxi- mum $1,200 per family mem- ber per year. Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $225 per eligible family member ev- ery 2 years. Benefit may be used for eye exams. Weekly indemnity: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 1/4/26 plan. AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $30,000. Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $30,000. Pension: All employees will be required to join and contribute to pension plan. Bereavement leave: 3 days for death of spouse, common-law partner, child, parent, brother, sister, stepparent, stepchild, grandchild, grandparent, fath- er-in-law, mother-in-law. 1 day for death of brother-in-law, sister-in-law. Seniority – recall rights: 6 months for employees pro- moted to supervisory position or position not subject to agreement. 24 consecutive months after layoff or where employee has been unable to attend work. Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours' pay at time and one-half. Probationary period: Em- ployee will be placed on pro- bationary list after working 8 hours in any 1 workweek. Employee will be placed on seniority list once employee has worked 120 days within 35 consecutive weeks. Proba- tionary employees will be paid probationary rate for first 30 consecutive days worked after which employees will be paid full rate for remainder of 120- day probationary period. Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years for disciplinary measures, all infractions of rules and regu- lations. Severance: 60 days of pay for employee laid off due to com- plete closure. Uniforms/clothing: $225 (previously $200) for protective clothing (payable on first week of February each year); $200 pro-rated for employees who gain seniority after first week of February. Employer will provide rainwear, any other safety or protective wear required. Sample rates of hourly pay (current, after increase): Warehousemen Hired prior to 2009 or after achieving 10 years of seniority: $23.25 OT top-up: $0.70 per hour ris- ing 2 steps to $0.73 per hour Lump-sum payment: $4,300 Hired after 2008 with less than 5 years of seniority: $20.24 ris- ing 2 steps to $21.48 Hired after 2008 and after achieving 5 years of seniority: $21.24 rising 2 steps to $22.48 Probationary: $15.10 rising 2 steps to $16.02 Editor's notes: Medical examinations: 2 hours of pay (plus minimum 24 hours of notice) for employer-requested medical examination taken after working hours. Bonding: Should employer require employee to give bond, premium involved will be paid by employer.
