AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for depen- dents. Employee pays 100% of premiums for group plan. Pension: DC pension plan. Company matches employees' contributions of 1% of pay and 50% of next 2%. Bereavement leave: 5 paid days for death of spouse, child, parent, legal guardian, sibling (3 days during 36-hour work- week; 4 days in 48-hour work- week for employees on 12-hour shifts). 3 paid days for death of sibling-in-law, grandchild, grandparent, parent-in-law, child-in-law (2 days for em- ployees on 12-hour shifts). Seniority – recall rights: 12 months for layoff; 24 consecu- tive months for being absent from work for any reason except for absences in conflict with any federal or provincial law.. Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours' pay if called back after leaving work. Probationary period: 3 months within 1-year period. 480 hours worked for employ- ees on 12-hour shifts. Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months for disciplinary ac- tions. Safety shoes: $200 per year for CSA green triangle light duty steel toe safety footwear; CSA green triangle heavy duty safety footwear and for insoles and laces. Employees who own posted position in freezer will be supplied with own suits. Tool allowance: 100% of cost of required tool which is bro- ken in performance of normal duties by maintenance em- ployee. Wage adjustments: Effective April 1, 2020: $0.25 per hour Effective April 1, 2021: $0.25 per hour Paid holidays: 12 days. Vacations with pay: 15 days or 6% after 1 year, 20 days or 8% after 5 years, 25 days or 10% after 15 years, 30 days or 12% after 25 years. Employees who are not able to schedule and utilize full vacation entitlement will be paid out at end of vacation year. Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 7.5 hours per day or 37.5 hours per week; all work af- ter 12 hours per day or 42.67 per week for night attendants. May be taken as time off but must be taken within 6 months from date it was accrued. Medical benefits: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employ- ee pays 50% of premiums. Sick leave: 1.25 days per month to start. Employees will be given 15 days every April 1, to use in next fiscal year, after 1 year of service. Employees may carry maximum 10 credits over per fiscal year (April 1 to March 31) but will not accrue more than 25 credits at any given time. Counselors, night attendants will be given burn-out days, as required. Bereavement leave: 7 days for death in immediate family (spouse (legal or common-law), parent, child, grandparent, sister, grandchild, brother, mother-in- law, father-in-law daughter-in- law, son-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, spouse's grand- parents). Seniority – recall rights: 12 months for layoffs. If employee accepts position outside bargain- ing unit, employee will retain seniority accumulated up to date of leaving bargaining unit and seniority will not accrue when employee is working outside scope of bargaining unit. Call-in pay: Minimum 3 hours of time off with pay or 3 hours of pay at basic rate of pay. Probationary period: 500 hours worked, exclusive of overtime hours. Period may be extended by employer for additional 250 hours worked, exclusive of over- time hours. Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years for employee who has been subject to disciplinary action. Mileage: If employer requires employee to use private auto- mobile for employer business, employee will be reimbursed for distance traveled at rate cur- rently paid by AHS (Alberta Health Services) to its employees for similar travel.
