COLLECTIVE AGREEMENTS COLLECTIVE AGREEMENTS to proportionate payment of wages in lieu of such vacation; deceased employee's estate will be credited with value of vacation credits owing them. Employee may carry over 5 days to following year and may request more days to be carried over. All cash left in accrual will be paid out in September each year. Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 10 hours per day or 40 hours per week for theatre technician; double time after 3 hours of over- time. Time and one-half for all work after 7 hours per day for clerical and education assis- tants; 8 hours per day for all others; 35 hours in 1 week for clerical and education assis- tants; more than 40 hours in 1 week for all other employees; double time after 3 hours of overtime. Time and one-half for work on Saturday or first day of rest; double time for work on Sunday or second day of rest. Overtime may be taken as time off but must be used by Aug. 31 or cash pay- out will be made ( June 30 for 10-month employees). Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for B.C. government medical plan and medical travel benefits (extended health benefit plan supplement). Dental: Employer pays 90% of premiums, employee pays 10% of premiums. Maximum cover- age of $1,500. Sick leave: 1.5 days per month, maximum accrual of 120 days. LTD: All employees will par- ticipate in plan as condition of employment. Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for employ- ees who will be covered under terms and conditions of Pub- lic Education Benefits Trust (PEBT) life insurance plan or equivalent with benefits at 2 times salary (as condition of employment). Pension: All eligible employ- ees covered by agreement will participate in and be covered by provisions of municipal pen- sion plan. Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of parent, spouse, com- mon-law spouse, brother, sister, child, grandchild, grandparent, mother-in-law, father-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law. Seniority – recall rights: 12 months after layoff. Employee will retain their seniority ac- cumulated up to date of leaving unit but will not accumulate any further seniority if em- ployee is transferred to position outside bargaining unit. Call-in pay: Minimum of 3 hours of pay at overtime rates. Probationary period: 45 working days. Discipline: Sunset clause is 48 months. Safety shoes: $250 every 2 years for all regular employees required to wear safety boots in accordance with WorkSafeBC regulations applicable to work- site. Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide and clean all pro- tective clothing, coveralls, gloves as required. Employer will provide reimbursement, maximum $100 per school year, for special education as- sistants/education assistants when accompanying students in pool as requirement of as- signment.
