www.hrreporter.com 23 "A t the heart of CSA Group is a vision: making the world a better, safer, more sustainable place," says Melodie Mason, vice president, total rewards, at CSA Group. "Our HR team is dedicated to this vision. We're committed to creating and nurturing a healthy workplace and experience for our employees. Our success is the result of hard work, perseverance and a willingness to embrace technology." As a key member of CSA Group's HR leadership team, Mason's global responsibil- ities include leading and developing the company's total rewards strategy, including strategic oversight of CSA Group's human resources information system (HRIS). As one of Canada's most innovative HR teams, CSA Group's HR team has been recognized for its successful implementation and adoption of Workday, a cloud- based software that specializes in human capital management and financial management applications. Since the initial rollout in 2019, the team, led day-to-day by Kelly Perrow, senior manager, HRIS, has worked with leaders across the organization to personalize and enhance the Workday offering, ensuring a stream- lined and hassle-free experience for global employees. "Continuing to utilize and adapt cutting-edge technology will be crucial for the evolution of HR at CSA Group, and across organizations of all shapes and sizes," says Mason. "The right technologies can enhance visibility, improve workflows and allow for more sophisticated reporting and accountability. The future of HR is bright!" A t Rexall Pharmacy Group, Frank Monteleone and his team have a continued focus on fostering diversity, equity and inclusion. "It is paramount," says the senior vice president and chief people officer. "Encouraging meaningful connections and realizing the power of its importance with colleagues, business partners and customers is more vital now than ever." Under Monteleone's leadership, Rexall has implemented inclusion and diversity networks (IDNs) consisting of four committees dedicated to empow- ering Black, Indigenous and People of Colour (BIPOC); LGBTQ2+; people with disabilities and caregivers; and women. The committees are execu- tive-sponsored and each has more than 100 members. Additionally, Rexall implemented bi-monthly pulse surveys and engagement solutioning to further its continuous listening strategy. For Monteleone, engagement begins with a company that has solid core values in place. "A company does not become a great place to work overnight or by accident," he says. "It takes a carefully created, thoughtful and well-executed plan to build a culture that employees love and want to promote." Monteleone is also president and chair of the Rexall Care Network, further deepening the relationship between the employee experience and corporate social responsibility. "It really is a journey, and staying aware of what is critical and what means most to our employees and customers is at the heart of it."
