Signed on May 12, 2020. Shift premium: 15% over jour- neyperson hourly wage rate for ordinary forepersons. 10% for employees who work under- ground on industrial projects. 25% for ironworker who works directly with helicopter and whose work requires them to work on ground; 50% for iron- worker who works directly with helicopter and whose work requires them to work above ground. $6 per hour for each hour worked on scheduled sec- ond 9-, 10- and 11-hour shifts (does not apply on Saturdays, Sundays, statutory holidays). 60% when at any time employee travels from 1 job to another job during working hours us- ing own vehicle (employee will not be required to carry pas- sengers). Paid holidays: 12 days includ- ing Friday preceding B.C. Day, Friday preceding Labour Day on industrial jobs. 12 days in- cluding Friday preceding B.C. Day on commercial/institu- tional jobs. Vacations with pay: Holiday pay will be total of 12% of gross wages (6% for holidays; 6% for statutory holidays). Overtime: Time and one-half for first 10 hours of overtime worked on Friday of Monday through Thursday compressed workweek or on Monday of Tuesday through Friday com- pressed workweek. Time and one-half for first 8 hours of overtime worked on Satur- day. Double time for all hours worked on Saturday for in- dustrial work. Double time for time worked after 10 hours per day; after 8 hours on Saturday; all hours worked on Sunday. Meal allowance: If more than 1 meal period occurs in period worked by employee, employer will provide extra meal or meals at no expense to employee. Medical benefits: Employer will make contributions to Ironworkers, Local 97 health and welfare plan. Pension: Employer will make contributions to Ironworkers, Local 97 pension plan. Uniforms/clothing: Employer will supply safety hats, winter liners, sweat bands, welders' helmets, welders' gloves, burn- ing goggles, flash goggles. Em- ployer will supply and maintain coveralls on abnormally dirty maintenance, revamp and re- pair work in which employee's clothes may be abnormally or permanently damaged. Mileage: $0.58 per kilometre (previously $0.54 per kilome- tre) each way by shortest pos- sible route to and from job for ironworkers, apprentices who commute daily outside free travel zone. $0.58 per kilometre (previously $0.54 per kilome- tre) by most direct route plus ferry expenses when incurred from point of dispatch or resi- dence, whichever is closer to job, for out-of-town jobs.
