Wage adjustments: Effective May 1, 2015: 1.75% Effective May 1, 2016: 2% Calculated by CLR. Shift premium: 10% for courses with additional class/lab/tuto- rial/seminar hours. 12.5% for courses with an enrollment of 100 or more students. Paid holidays: 10 days. Vacations with pay: An employee is entitled to 4% of their base rate as vacation pay. Overtime: Time and one-half. Medical benefits: The employer contributes $120,000 each Sep- tember towards employee health care benefits. This contribution is administered by the union. The union provides an annual report summarizing the allocations of the employer's contribu- tions. Sick leave: 6 hours per academic term. Bereavement leave: 5 days for the death of an employee's par- ent, spouse, partner or child. Probationary period: 1 academic term. The employer can ex- tend the probationary period to a second academic term. Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years. Sample rates of pay, current: Teaching Assistant (per hour): $37.88 Teaching Fellow (per regular half-course): $7,518 Editor's notes: Administration: The employer will provide a lump sum, equivalent to a 420 hour TAship at the applicable rate of pay, each year to assist the union in the administration of the collective agreement. Personnel file: An employee's per- sonnel file is kept separate from her academic file. Intellectual property rights: Employees retain copyright, including but not limited to, lecture notes or course materials created exclusively by them. The employer will have a non-exclusive, non-royalty- bearing license to use some or all of the materials for teaching purposes and to distribute said materials to Queen's University students. Pregnancy leave: 17 weeks. Parental leave: 35 weeks if the employee also took pregnancy leave. 37 weeks if the em- ployee did not take pregnancy leave. Court leave: Employees will be granted leave with pay when summoned to serve for jury duty or jury selection or when subpoenaed as a witness to court proceedings to which the employee is not a party. Any monies remitted by the court for the performance of the required duties will be deducted from amounts paid to the employee while on leave. n TRANSPORTATION Greater London International Airport Authority LONDON, ONT. Vacations with pay: 3 weeks after 1 year, 4 weeks after 8 years, 5 weeks after 20 years and 6 weeks after 30 years. Overtime: Time and one-half for each hour worked on the first day of rest and double time for each hour worked on the second day of rest, provided the days of rest are consecutive. Meal allowance: $10 after 3 hours overtime. Vision: $100 every 2 years for eye vision examinations. Bereavement leave: 4 days for employee's spouse (including common-law), parent, spouse of the father or mother (including common-law), children, brother, sister, father-in-law (including common-law), mother-in-law (including common-law) or any relative living permanently with the employee. 1 day for em- ployee's grandparent, grandchild, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law or sister-in-law. Call-in pay: At least 3 hours' pay at the applicable overtime rate. Probationary period: 6 months. Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years.
