Canadian workers are spending less time in their jobs — 30 per cent have been on the job for more than four years, according to several polls with 1,000 to 5,000 respondents. And it takes more than twice as long — nine weeks — to fill a management position. Advice for jobseekers? Start with a skills summary and avoid wordy paragraphs. Source: Workopolis Stress driving turnover More than one-third (38 per cent) of workers have left their jobs because of a stressful working environment, according to a global poll of 6,709 respondents. An additional 32 per cent have thought about it. Workers in France and the United Kingdom (48 per cent) were most likely to have changed jobs due to stress, while Canadians (44 per cent) and Americans (42 per cent) were less likely. In India, just 19 per cent have left a job due to stress.
