Sample rates of pay (current, after 2% increase): AM morning announcer: $465 per week FM morning announcer: $500 FM afternoon announcer: $485 Continuity writer: $465 News reporter/reader: $500 Producer: $500 AM/FM part-time announcer/ operator: $10.60 per hour Editor's notes: Commercial remote work: $25 per hour for every hour outside of regularly scheduled work hours for full-time employees and $12 cut fees per hour including scheduled hours. $20 per hour for every hour worked for part-time employees. $25 flat fee for any employee performing the set-up and takedown of any remote. Promotional appearances: On-air personalities may be required, a maximum of once per month, to make personal promotional appearances on behalf of the station outside their normal hours of work. EDUCATION Queen's University Kingston, Ont. (1,350 professors) and the Queen's University Faculty Association Renewal agreement: Effective May 1, 2015, to April 30, 2019. Signed on Aug. 21, 2015. Wage adjustments: Effective May 1, 2015: 1% Effective May 1, 2016: 1.25% Effective May 1, 2017: 1.5% Effective May 1, 2018: 1.75% Dental: 100% of premiums for Queen's Enhanced Dental Plan paid by the employer. Medical benefits: 100% of premiums for Queen's Supple- mentary Medical Plan paid by the employer. Sick leave: Up to 180 days. LTD: 100% of premiums paid by employee. Life insurance: Maximum of $200,000 coverage. 55% of premiums paid by the employer and 45% of premiums paid by the employee. Bereavement leave: 5 days for employee's spouse, common- law spouse, same sex partner, child, sibling, parent, father-in- law, mother-in-law, grandpar- ent, grandchild, foster parent or ward. Employees have the right to publish the results of their research without interference or censorship by the institution, its agents or others. Research and scholarly materials: Employees will retain for at least 5 years research and scholarly activity materials that are within their personal control. Surveillance: Surveillance devices and practices will not be placed or implemented within an employee's office, private work space or private laboratory without the consent of that employee. Relocation expenses: Up to $1,800 for a 1-year contract. Up to $2,200 for a con- tract of more than 1 year but less than 3 years. $3,300 for a contract of 3 years or more. Maternity leave: Maternity leave with top-up for up to 20 weeks. Maternity leave without top-up for up to 13 weeks. Parental leave: Parental leave with top-up for up to 20 weeks. TRANSPORTATION First Student Canada Kamloops, B.C. (100 bus drivers) and Unifor Local 114 Renewal agreement: Effec- tive April 1, 2014, to March 31, 2017. Wage adjustments: Effective April 1, 2015: 3.7% Effective April 1, 2016: 2.5% Calculated by CLR. Shift premium: 40 ¢ per hour for shifts between 6 p.m. and 4:30 a.m. $2 per hour for me- chanic lead hand. $2 per hour for drivers performing training duties. Paid holidays: 12 days. Time and one-half for work on a named holiday. Vacations with pay: 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 3 years, 4 weeks after 7 years, 5 weeks after 12 years, 6 weeks after 20 years. Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked in excess of 8 in one day, double time for all hours worked in excess of 12 in one day. Double time for all overtime hours worked on a statutory holiday. Double time for all work on Christmas Day. Pension: $1.10 per hour con- tributed by employer, $1.65 per hour for mechanics, effective upon ratification. Bereavement leave: 3 days for the death of an immedi- ate family member, including employee's spouse, common- law spouse, same-sex partner, mother, father, brother, sister, daughter, son, stepchild, moth- er-in-law, father-in-law, daugh- ter-in-law, son-in-law, steppar- ent, grandparent, grandchild, brother-in-law, sister-in-law. Seniority – recall rights: 2 years. Probationary period: 500 hours. Safety shoes: $200 for 1 pair of boots for mechanics and main- tenance personnel. Employer provides winter safety shoes for servicepersons every 3 years. Uniforms/clothing: Perma- nent operators provided with new uniforms, casual opera- tors provided with minimum 2 shirts and 1 tie. $25 monthly cleaning allowance.
