Employees may opt to make additional contributions of either 1.5%, 1%, 1.5%, 2% or 2.5% of earnings. Company will match those contributions up to 2.5%. Bereavement leave: 5 days for the death of an employee's spouse, common-law spouse, mother, father, children, brother and sister. 3 days for the death of a grandparent, grandchild, mother-in-law, father-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in- law, sister-in-law or guardian. Gender neutral agreement language: The parties agreed, during negotiations, to continue the process of converting the language in the collective agreement from the masculine gender to gender neutral. Tuition assistance: Up to $1,300 per eligible child per year. Pregnancy leave: 17 weeks. Minute of silence: Every year on April 28 at 11 a.m. a minute of silence will be observed in memory of employees who have died in industrial accidents. Sunset clause is 1 year given no further discipline occurs.
