(2,710 plant and maintenance employees) and Unifor Local 88 Renewal agreement: Effective Sept. 17, 2013, to Sept. 17, 2017. Shift premium: 5% premium for hours worked between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. 10% premium for hours worked between 7 p.m. and 4:45 a.m. 10% premi- um for hours worked between 4:45 a.m. and 7 a.m. where the shift begins before 6 a.m. $1 per hour for team leaders with an additional 50ยข per hour when an employee is assigned team leader duties for 4 or more con- secutive hours. Paid holidays: 9 days with ad- ditional days in the Christmas โ€“ New Year period, the number and dates in any year being de- pendent on the day of the week on which Christmas Day falls. Vacations with pay: 88 hours after 1 year of seniority, 88 hours after 2 years of seniority, 140 hours after 3 years of se- niority, 160 hours after 5 years of seniority, 180 hours after 10 years or seniority, 200 hours af- ter 15 years of seniority and 240 hours after 20 years of seniority. Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked beyond 8 hours per day Monday through Friday. Time and one-half for all hours worked on Saturday.Dou- ble time for all hours worked on Sunday. Bereavement leave: 4 days for employee's spouse, child, parent, brother or sister. 3 days for employee's stepchild, son- in-law, daughter-in-law, father- in-law, mother-in-law, grand- parent, grandchild, spouse's grandparent, half-brother, half-sister, stepparent, spouse's stepparent, stepbrother or step- sister. Seniority โ€“ recall rights: 3 years or a period of time equal to employee's seniority, which- ever is greater. Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours at applicable overtime rate. Probationary period: 60 days worked. Discipline: Sunset clause is 1 year. Uniforms/clothing: Employer provides personal protective devices, equipment and cloth- ing as necessary. Tool allowance: Employer supplies all necessary tools and equipment. Sample rates of pay: Production associate: $34.15 per hour Production support group: $34.45 Production team leader: $35.15 Maintenance associate: $40.25 Maintenance team leader: $41.25 Shift operator 2nd class: $40.25 Shift operator 3rd class: $39.04 Editor's notes: New team mem- ber orientation: Training will not exceed 16 hours. Pyramid- ing: Shift premiums, holiday pay and overtime rates will not be pyramided or duplicated. Summer shutdown: The em- ployer is committed to schedul- ing a 2 week plant shut-down during the months of July and/ or August. Minute of silence: 1 minute of silence will be ob- served each year on April 28, at 11 a.m. in memory of workers who have died in industrial ac- cidents. Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked beyond 35 hours per week. Time and one-half when an employee is required to work at sea for more than 7 hours per day. Sick leave: Sick leave will not exceed 480 days in aggregate. Bereavement leave: 3 days for employee's father, mother, brother, sister, child, spouse, grandparent, grandchild, father-in-law, mother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law or relative living in the same household. 1 day for employee's uncle, aunt, brother-in-law or sister-in-law. 1 additional day when the ceremony occurs more than 200 km away from employee's residence. Seniority โ€“ recall rights: 13 months for temporary or con- tractual employees. 25 months for permanent employees. Probationary period: 2 years. Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years. Severance: 1 week's salary per completed year of continuous service to a maximum of 20 weeks' pay for employees with at least 9 years of service. Uniforms/clothing: Employer provides any protective cloth- ing or devices required in accor- dance with occupational health and safety regulations. Termination: 2 weeks' notice to start and 4 weeks' notice after 1 year of seniority. Incarceration: If an em- ployee is incarcerated following conviction and the employer does not elect to discipline the employee, the employee will be granted an unpaid leave of absence for up to 2 years.
