Signed on Jan. 1, 2015. Wage adjustments: Effective Jan. 1, 2016: 2.25% Effective Jan. 1, 2017: 2.25% Effective Jan. 1, 2018: 2.5% Effective Jan. 1, 2019: 2.5% Calculated by CLR. Shift premium: $1 per hour for employees working from a swinging stage. $1 per hour for employees working from a Bo- sun's Chair. $1 per hour for em- ployees climbing without stag- ing 30 feet or more above the ground (does not apply working from a ladder). Bereavement leave: 4 days for employee's father, mother, brother, sister, spouse, child, father-in-law, mother-in-law or relative permanently resid- ing with the employee. 1 day for employee's grandparent, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law or sister-in-law. Seniority – recall rights: 1 year. Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours at time and one-half. Probationary period: 100 days. Safety shoes: $200 for safety boots and coveralls. Sample rates of pay (current, after 2.25% increase): Group 1 without seniority: $14.62 per hour Group 1 with seniority: $24.09 Group 2: $25.42 Group 3: $26.17 Group 4: $26.90 Group 5: $27.35 Group 6: $27.97 Group 7: $30.36 Editor's notes: Layoff: 2 weeks' pay for the first year of seniority and 1 week's pay for each subsequent year to a maxi- mum of 28 weeks' pay. HEALTH CARE Trillium Villa Nursing Home Sarnia, Ont. (170 health service employees) and Unifor Local 302 Renewal agreement: Effective Nov. 1, 2014, to Oct. 31, 2016. Signed on June 25, 2015. Wage adjustments: Effective Nov. 1, 2014: 1.5% Effective Nov. 1, 2015: 1.5% Shift premium: 33¢ per hour for all time worked when the majority of hours fall between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. 25¢ per hour for all hours worked on weekends (previously 20¢). $7.50 per shift when employee is temporarily assigned the responsibilities of an RN. Paid holidays: 11 days. Vacations with pay: 1 day per month worked to a maximum of 10 days to start, 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 3 years, 4 weeks after 8 years, 5 weeks after 15 years, 6 weeks after 23 years and 7 weeks after 28 years. Overtime: Time and one-half. Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for the Ontario Hospital Insurance Plan. Employer pays 100% of premiums for the Extended Health Care Plan. Dental: Employer pays 50% of premiums for the Group Dental Plan. Vision: $250 every 2 years (pre- viously $200). Sick leave: 3 days credited fol- lowing probation. Employees earn sick leave at a rate of 7.5 hours per period of 162.5 hours paid to a maximum of 105 hours of sick leave. Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for the Group Life Insurance Plan. $30,000 term life insurance (previously $25,000). Pension: Employees contrib- ute 4% of applicable wages. Employer matches employee contributions. Bereavement leave: 5 days for employee's spouse, child or stepchild. 3 days for employee's father, mother, stepparent, father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother, sister, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, grandparent, grandparent-in-law, grandchild, son-in-law or daughter-in-law. 1 day for employee's uncle, aunt, nephew or niece. Sample rates of pay (current, after 1.5% increase): Reg. practical nurse: $23.11 per hour rising in 3 steps to $24.31 Activity aide/life enrichment worker: $19.29 rising in 3 steps to $20.54 Health-care aide/PSW: $19.2 rising in 3 steps to $20.33 Diet. aide/hskp/laundry/ mtnce2: $18.83 rising in 3 steps to $20.06 Cook: $20.15 rising in 3 steps to $21.24 Cook assistant: $19.94 rising in 3 steps to $21.04 Maintenance 1: $19.53 rising in 3 steps to $21.67 Editor's notes: National day of mourning: 1 minute of silence will be observed at 11 a.m. on April 28 each year in memory of workers killed or injured on the job. Pregnancy leave: 15 weeks. Parental leave: 37 weeks. 35 weeks if pregnancy leave was also taken.
