Subsistence allowance: $55 per day for meals, $110 per day for room and board, additional $55 for last day of work, when working 75 kilometres or more away from regular job site. Union-management meetings: $25 to committee member for each meeting attended outside of regular working hours. Conscientious objector status: For employees who cannot support the union with their dues for conscientious reasons, as determined by the union's internal guidelines on what constitutes a conscientious objection. Moonlighting: Unless authorized by the employer, employees shall not moonlight or perform work in competition with the employer. PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION Government of Yukon Territorywide, Yukon (3,750 workers, all categories) and the Public Service Alliance of Canada (CLC) Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2016, to Dec. 31, 2018. Wage adjustments: Effective Jan. 1, 2016: 2% Effective Jan. 1, 2017: 1.5% Effective Jan. 1, 2018: 1.5% Shift premium: $1.50 per hour for all hours on graveyard and evening shifts, including over- time hours. $1.50 per hour for all hours worked on Saturday and Sunday. Paid holidays: 12 days. Vacations with pay: 1 ¼ days per month with 10 days' pay to start, 1 ½ days per month after 3 years, 1 ¾ days per month after 14 years, 2 days per month after 25 years. 5 additional days on completion of 5 years of service and every 5 years thereafter. Overtime: Time-and-one-half for first 4 hours on a regular working day or holiday and double-time thereafter. Double- time for all hours on a paid holi- day following a day worked with overtime. May be banked as lieu time to be used by March 1 of the following year. Meal allowance: $14 where employees must work 3 hours of overtime immediately prior to or following scheduled work day. Medical benefits: Employer pays 85% of coverage premi- ums. Dental: Employer pays 85% of coverage premiums. Paramedical: $600 every 60 months for hearing aids. Sick leave: 1 ¼ days for each month with 10 days' pay. Can be carried over to a maximum of 180 days. LTD: Employer pays 85% of coverage premiums. Bereavement leave: 6 days spe- cial leave credit each year after the first, to a maximum of 30 days to be used for bereavement and other special leaves. Call-in pay: The greater of ap- plicable overtime rate plus 2 hours' straight time or 4 hours' straight time, if called in on a day already worked. Severance: Layoff: 2 weeks' pay for first year of employ- ment plus 1 week's pay for each succeeding complete year of employment, to a maximum of 30 weeks' pay. Resignation of employee with 5 or more years of service: 1.5 times number of completed years of employ- ment, to a maximum of 28 weeks. Retirement: 1 week for each complete year of employ- ment. Safety shoes: $175 per year for employees requiring safety footwear. Uniforms/clothing: $300 bian- nually for insulated clothing for designated regular employees. $150 biannually for seasonal employees. Tool allowance: Employer will replace worn or broken tools for designated trades employ- ees. $300 for designated regular trades employees with 2 years' continuous services and $150 per year thereafter to a maxi- mum of $1,200. For seasonal workers, $150 and $75 per year to a maximum of $600. Sample rates of annual pay (current): Minimum master pay grid: $44,839 rising in 22 steps to $112,667 Maximum master pay grid: $51,309 rising in 22 steps to $130,659 Minimum trades group pay grid: $59,944 rising in 9 steps to $85,944 Maximum trades group pay grid: $68,976 rising in 9 steps to $99,396 Minimum tradesperson pay grid: $56,945 rising in 9 steps to $81,648 Maximum tradesperson pay grid: $65,528 rising in 9 steps to $94,428 Minimum language translator pay grid: $61,761 rising in 9 steps to $107,099 Maximum language transla- tor pay grid: $71,108 rising in 9 steps to $123,975 Education consultants: $105,051 rising in 5 steps to $121,673 Editor's notes: Travel bonus: Employees with 2 or more years of continuous services receive $2,242 annually for Yukon Bonus travel benefit. Days of rest: Employer will provide 2 consecutive days of rest per week for liquor store employees at all stores, except Whitehorse. Commuting assistance: If the employer re-opens Cassiar Weigh Station, the employer will pay employees working there $5 per shift to assist in travel expenses incurred going to and from Watson Lake.
