When helmet is returned and has been made unwearable through willful neglect and abuse, employee will be charged full replacement value. Enter- tainment devices: Cellphones, blackberries, iPods and other similar devices will not be used during working hours. Out-of-town allowances: $100 per day (previously $82.40 per day or $412 per week) for room and board. If more than 160 kilometres away, maximum payable 7 days per week. SENIOR CARE Bethany Nursing Home of Camrose Camrose, Alberta (230 nursing home workers) and Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE), Local 047/002 Renewal agreement: Effec- tive April 1, 2015, to March 31, 2018. Ratified on June 14, 2016. Signed on April 12, 2017. Shift premium: Auxiliary nurs- ing, general support services: $2.75 per hour when majority of hours are between 4 p.m. and 8 a.m.; $2.25 per hour when ma- jority of hours are between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. Weekend: $3.25 for each hour worked from midnight Friday to midnight Sunday. Paid holidays: 11 days, plus 1 additional floater day. Vacations with pay: 15 days af- ter 1 year, 20 days after 3 years, 25 days after 10 years, 30 days after 20 years. Supplementary vacations: Additional 5 days af- ter 25, 30, 35, 40 and 45 years. Overtime: Double time for all hours worked after regular hours. May be taken as time off, but must be taken with 12 months. Medical benefits: Employer pays 50% of premiums, em- ployee pays 50% of premiums for Health Boards Association Services Benefit Plan. Flexible spending account: $800 per year. Dental: Employer pays 75% of premiums, employee pays 25% of premiums. Basic: 80% reimbursement. Major: 50% re- imbursement maximum $2,500 per person per year. Orth- odontic: 50% reimbursement maximum $2,500 per person lifetime. Sick leave: 1 1/2 days per month, maximum 120 days. LTD: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums for 66 2/3% monthly salary, maximum $7,000 per month. AD&D: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums, maximum $125,000 coverage. Life insurance: 1 or 2 times salary, maximum $125,000 coverage. Pension: All employees partici- pate in Local Authorities' Pen- sion Plan. Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of spouse (including benefit partner), any relatives of employee or spouse (includ- ing benefit partner): parents, guardian, parent-in-law, grand- parent, grandchild, son, daugh- ter, brother, sister. 2 additional days for travel more than 320 kilometres. I day for death of other relative or friend. Seniority – recall rights: 180 days. Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours' pay at overtime rate. Probationary period: 503.75 hours. Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years. Severance: 1.5 weeks' pay for each year, maximum 25 weeks. Uniforms/clothing: Employer will supply and maintain (laun- der, alter, repair) all needed uniforms. On-call duty: 1/2 hour's pay for each 4 hours on duty. Registration fees: $150 per year toward payment of College of Licensed Practical Nurses Association registration fees. CONSTRUCTION Canem Systems Edmonton (159 construction workers) and Canem Systems (Edmonton) Employees' Association Renewal agreement: Effec- tive June 1, 2017, to May 31, 2020. Ratified on Feb. 13, 2017. Signed on Feb. 14, 2017. Shift premium: Shift differen- tial: Minimum 5% (previously 10%) of wage schedule. Paid holidays: 11 days. Vacations with pay: 6% of gross earnings each pay period; 8% after 10 years' service. Overtime: Time and one-half after 40 hours per week. May be banked, maximum 260 hours per year. Must be taken with 12 months of being banked. Medical benefits: Health and welfare plan underwritten by Merit Contractors Association. Pension: Effective June 1, 2017: $1.50 per hour for apprentices, journeymen on contributions made by employee to RRSP plan. Sample rates of hourly pay (current): First-year apprentice: $18 Second-year apprentice: $21.60 Third-year apprentice: $25.20 Fourth-year apprentice: $28.80 Journeyman class: $36 Editor's notes: Subsistence allowance: On out-of-town work, if board and lodging not provided by one of employer's customers, employer will provide allowance. Travelling expense: Employee reimbursed at current CRA automobile allowance rates (previously $0.42 per hour) when using personal vehicle for employer. Free zone: west to Stony Plain, north to Morinville, N.E. to Fort Saskatchewan, south to Leduc, east to Tofield On-call duty: 1/2 hour's pay for each 4 hours on duty.
