3 Canadian HR Reporter, a Thomson Reuters business 2017 Shift premium: $1.50 per hour to employees working outside hours of 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and for all hours on Saturdays and Sundays. $2 per hour for dual certification. Paid holidays: 11 days, plus 2 hours off on Christmas Eve. 1 floater day per year, 2 floater days per year after 15 years' service. May be accrued, maximum 4 floater days. Vacations with pay: 120 hours to start, 160 hours after 6 years, 200 hours after 12 years, 240 hours after 19 years, 280 hours after 27 years, 320 hours after 33 years. Overtime: Double time for all hours worked after regular hours. May be banked, maximum 80 hours. Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Vision: $200 every 2 years for prescription safety glasses. Sick leave: 12.8 hours per month, maximum 1,440 hours. LTD: Employee pays 100% of premiums. AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Life insurance: Employee pays 100% of premiums for group life insurance. Pension: Local Authorities Pension Plan. Employer will match employee contribution to RRSP or TFSA, maximum 2%. Bereavement leave: 7 days for death of immediate relative (son, daughter, current spouse, mother, father, sister, brother, parent of current spouse, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandparent, grandchild, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, grandparent of spouse, legal guardian). 2 additional days for travel more than 450 kilometres from Grande Prairie. Seniority – recall rights: 18 months. Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours' overtime pay. Probationary period: 6 months. Discipline: Sunset clause is 36 months. Safety shoes: $400 per year for CSA-approved safety footwear. Tool allowance: $900 per year to journeymen, apprentice- trades persons for repair or replacement of tools.
