Signed on April 30, 2015. Wage adjustments: Effective March 1, 2015: 2.1% Effective March 1, 2016: 3% Effective March 1, 2017: 2.5% Shift premium: Time and one-quarter will be paid when employees work for 1 hour or more in enclosed space, di- mensions of which restrain em- ployee to working in kneeling position or lower and preclude him from periodically standing. Time and one-quarter will be paid for employees working in confined places when closing plates are on and no means of ventilation provided, or for dirty work. Time and one-quar- ter will be paid when employees affected by burning or welding on galvanized pipe or other galvanized work when efficient ventilation is not provided. Any welder being asked to weld over dry paint or any persons being asked to burn off dry paint, will be paid time and one-quarter. Time and one-quarter will be paid while working in com- partments full of gases and fumes, where it is impossible to provide efficient ventilation to make air conditions come up to standard as set by WCB of B.C. Time and one-half will be paid for cleaning of tanks that have contained "bunker" or other heavy fuel oil when actually working inside tank. Additional 16% for work while off-site. Paid holidays: 12 days, plus 1 additional floating day between Dec. 24 and Jan. 2 each year. Vacations with pay: For em- ployees hired after Jan. 1, 1987: 2.6 weeks or 5% after 1 years, 3 weeks or 6% after 2 years, 3.64 weeks or 7% after 5 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 8 years, 4.68 weeks or 9% after 10 years, 5.2 weeks or 10% after 15 years. For employees hired before Jan. 1, 1987: 3 weeks or 6% after 2 years, 3.65 weeks or 7% after 5 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 8 years, 4.68 weeks or 9% after 10 years, 5.2 weeks or 10% after 15 years, 6.4 weeks or 12% after 20 years. For employees hired before Jan. 1, 1980: 4 weeks or 8% after 8 years, 4.68 weeks or 9% after 10 years, 5.2 weeks or 10% after 15 years, 6.24 weeks or 12% after 20 years. Overtime: Double time for all work in excess of standard hours. Meal allowance: When work- ing more than 2 hours, employ- er will provide nourishing meal and same thereafter for each subsequent 4 hours. Medical benefits: Employer will contribute $5.80 for each hour worked to union welfare, pension and disability funds. Travel time to Burrard Inlet: Employees working on Burrard Inlet between bridges and away from confines of company plant, and travelling to such jobs on own time, will be paid one-half hour travelling on each of first day and last day of job. Respirators and breathing apparatus: Employer will supply suitable dust masks, respirators or breathing apparatus as may be required to protect employees from fumes or suspended contaminants that may be encountered in assigned work areas.
