(280 support, operations, maintenance staff ) and the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), Local 2545 Renewal agreement: Effect- ive May 31, 2017, to Aug. 31, 2018. Ratified on May 31, 2017. Signed on Oct. 12, 2017. Shift premium: $0.51 per hour for work that begins later than 2 p.m. but no later than 10 p.m. $1.01 per hour for work that begins later than 10 p.m. and finishes before 7:30 a.m. Paid holidays: 12 days, plus 2 floater days. One-half day on last working day before Christ- mas except for school-based clerical and educational assist- ants staff. Vacations with pay: 15 days af- ter 1 year, 20 days after 5 years, 25 days after 15 years, 30 days after 20 years. Employees who have 20 or more vacation days may bank days, once every 2 years, maximum 10 days. Overtime: Time and three-quarters for all work after regular hours. May be taken as time off, maximum 5 working days. Meal allowance: $20 after more than 3 hours of overtime immediately following regular shift. Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for Al- berta Health Care Plan. Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Employer will pro- vided health-spending account of $480 per year. Sick leave: 1.5 days per month, maximum 18 days for first year. 60 days credit thereafter. LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums. AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Pension: Local Authorities Pension Plan. Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of parent, wife, hus- band, common-law spouse, brother, sister, child, stepchild, foster-child, mother-in-law, father-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandpar- ent, grandchild, aunts, uncles, former guardian, ward, or fiancé(e). Additional 4 days for travel, if needed. 1 day to attend funeral as pallbearer. Seniority – recall rights: 2 years. Call-in pay: Minimum 3 hours at overtime rate plus additional 30 pay for travelling time. Probationary period: 80 work- ing days. Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years. Severance: 1 week per year, maximum 5 weeks for first 5 years of service; 2 weeks per year, maximum 10 weeks for next 5 years of service; 3 weeks per year, maximum 15 weeks for next 5 years of service. Overall maximum: 30 weeks. Safety shoes: $120 per year for boots in compliance with Can- adian standards. Uniforms/clothing: Employer will supply smocks, coveralls. Employer will reimburse em- ployees who need bathing suit for gym and swim program, $60 per year. North- ern-living allowance: $3,605 per year, paid over 20 pay periods from September to June. FOOD PRODUCTION Lantic Taber, Alta. (134 engineers, maintenance, process, warehouse personnel) and the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union (UFCW), Local 383 Renewal agreement: Effect- ive April 1, 2017, to March 31, 2022. Ratified on April 26, 2017. Signed on April 26, 2017. Shift premium: $1.45 per hour for work that begins later than midnight, but before 4 a.m. Ef- fective April 1, 2018: $1.55 per hour. Effective April 1, 2019: $1.65 per hour. During juice campaign, process foreman will receive $1 per hour when no shift supervisor is present. $1 per hour for process and warehouse personnel possess- ing fifth-class power engineer ticket, performing watchman duties. Paid holidays: 11 days (Farm- er's Day is observed in lieu of Remembrance Day). Vacations with pay: 1 day per month, maximum 2 week to start, 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 3 years, 4 weeks after 9 years, 5 weeks after 16 years, 6 weeks after 23 years. May be banked after 16 years of service, maximum 4 weeks. Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week during campaign season. Double time after first 4 hours worked. Time and one-half for all work after 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week during inter-campaign season. Double time after first 2 hours worked. Meal allowance: Free meal provided when employee works more than 2 hours past normal quitting time. Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for Al- berta Health Care. Dental: 100% coverage for basic dental, 70% for crowns, bridges, dentures, 50% for orthodon- tics, maximum $3,500 lifetime per child. Maximum $1,500 per family member per year. Effective April 1, 2018: $1,750 per year. Effective April 1, 2019: $2,000 per year. Vision: $350 per family mem- ber every 24 months. Weekly indemnity: Begin- ning on first day after accident, fourth day of illness: 75% of hourly rate, maximum 39 weeks. Sick leave: 4 days per year, may be accumulated maximum 12 days. LTD: 60% of earnings, max- imum $650 per week. AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums for 2-times annual salary, maximum $100,000. Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for 2-times annual salary, maximum $100,000. Pension: Employer contributes 8%, employee contributes 7%. Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of spouse, child, parent, mother-in-law, father-in-law, stepparent, common-law spouse. 3 days for death of grandchild, grandparents, spouse's grandparents, sister, brother, stepsibling, son-in- law, daughter-in-law. 2 days for death of brother-in-law, sister- in-law. 1 day for death of aunt, uncle, niece, nephew.
